Submit your log. (You do have version 3.0 installed before 3.1 I hope?)

It is the txt file in the medieval2\logs directory. Compress it and attach it to your next post.

Compress: use WinZip or WinRar and place the result on the desktop
Attach: under the reply box click on "Go Advanced"
    - Click on "Manage Attachments"
    - In the little window click on "Browse" and browse to your log file on the desktop.
    - Double Click the log file and the click on "Upload"

Before all this, if you answer the following question with "No" then we can save us all the above:

Did you install Regions & Provinces Mod 3.0 before you installed version 3.1?

C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\logs is where the file is. There is only one file in it. Just attach it.

    1. Are you using Vista?
    2. Do you have full administrative rights to your computer?
    3. Did you unhide all hidden files and folders in file options?

Aaaah! Vista and Med2 = two worlds collide.

Since I don't install into the default directory anyhow, I wouldn't know where the log file could be. Sorry Irish, wish I could be of help.

With the UAC turned off, mine's where it's supposed to be. With UAC on, maybe buried in the users folder.

First thanks for sharing this mod.

I have the same problem. The log-file says it's a Script Error in mods/RegionMod_Kings/data/export_descr_character_traits.txt

    some errors like:
    mods/RegionMod_Kings/data/export_descr_character_traits.txt, at line 320, column 11
Could'n find level name description string for trait(WifeisCuman) level(WifeIsCuman).

    here is the log-file:

It's part of the BBB mod Billydilly added to the mod. It won't keep the the mod from playing and it won't upset the family tree any. Those triggers just won't be used by the game.

    Thanks for fast reply...

Then it's another reason why the game freezes after starting a campaign

It will not keep you from starting a campaign. Those show up in mine.
