Except I can't.
1 year in and I managed to lower my neutrality to 99.
Just 99 points to go so Sweden will be able to go to war in around 100 years.
Also what's up with the trade agreements ?
They always want supplies and they always cancel them 1 month after.
Talk about not being able to make up their mind.
I tried to play as Estonia. I change a few settings, move my 3 divisions to the eastern border and that's it. Not enough IC to build anything (not even 1 brigade), not enough "influence" to do any diplomatic moves. I mean i can set it to max speed and go have lunch or something, waiting for the Soviets to come and conquer me already. Really, what's the point?
My pony jumps ever so high
Atleast you have that to look forward to
Nothing happens in Sweden.
This is where historical accuracy rears it's ugly head.
Is there actually anyone that enjoys playing a faction like this ?
Either make these faction non-playable or make it so that the faction can change history.
I don't feel like I have to mod this game just make something that should be common sense.
Wish I could play the damn campaign. All I am getting Is windows needs to close this programme.
I get as far as 3-4 Jan 1936 start some productions or Tech and wallop, Looks like my system which plays just about every game out there hates paradox games.

You should be able to allow your dissent to run wild and have a revolution. I am not sure how it works in HoI3, but I have made the USA communist before. Sure you can still do stuff like that in HoI3. Or you should be able to...
So, I finally got a hardcopy today.
First impression (1.1 patch):
1. Extremely slow timing, even with full speed.
2. Too many tech, with a ridiculous tech decay speed.
3. Demand of consumer good is ridiculous.
4. Completely discourage playing minors.
5. A lot of bugs - enough to kill the gameplay.
6. Ridiculous trading system - you actually need convoy for trading, which again, kill minor countries.
7. Strange diplomate system - no influence countries anymore and there are very few ways to increase relation.
Conclusion: Even after 1.1 patch, this game is still a disaster. Hopefully 1.2 patch would: 1. Fix all bugs 2. Change a lot of gameplay, especially the trading part, which directly kill minor by not allowing them to trade 3. Increase tech research speed, or everyone would fight WWII in 1918 style.
There is a hotfix for the CG bug out.
no ~ is the console button...although alt 21 might work too. minors were fun in HOI2 and HOI but i dont see the same attractiveness of them in HOI3
You look great today.
While I've only played the demo, I'm not a great fan of the combat system. It all seemed much simpler in HOI2 and quicker too...
i agree octy. ive gotten used to the hierarchy system and all it is is more micro management with no benefit.
You look great today.
Really? I find it to be tons easier and has a lot less management required. In my Italy game I just set the AI down in Northern Africa while I dealt with the French, game them an objective and let them go. Checked in their progress ever once in awhile and eventually they took the Suez from the UK without me doing a thing except give an objective. Back in HoI 2 I would have had to continue going back and forth constantly between the three fronts and continue to give new objective and change my plans as they enemy moved around. In my opinion it's much improved there isn't even half the micro management involved as there was in HoI 2 when it comes to moving and ordering your military around.
