i am not very confident about the final result, sometimes i think they should have stopped after lotr

I heard they haven't even got the movie approved yet. And with the movie industry you never know when they will cancel something for no reason. you might want the change the 2011-2012 in the title.

At Comic Con (a week ago) Peter Jackson said it's not green lit and they're still about a month away from sending the first draft of the script to Warner Bros (and that's only for the first movie). It's still waaaay in its infancy..

There's also talk (rumors?) about the two movies comprising of the solely The Hobbit story and a third movie (not directed by Del Toro) that bridges into The Lord of the Rings -- originally the first movie was entirely The Hobbit and the second was the bridge but they found that the Hobbit warranted two movies to do it justice.

Those things would be so awesome! Even if they had to be a bit contrived. Every second of film in middle earth is gold!

Hey everybody, I have been hearing that 'The hobbit' will be/ is being filmed in Australia (in Queensland somewhere) and I am wondering if anyone else has heard the same?
