I was wondering which actors are suitable for the Hobbit characters,and i would like to ask twcenter's members!Ideas for actors?(I personaly prefer Bilbo Baggins as Ian Holm,i don't think someone else should take his role).

Well the offical cast is:
Del Toro has already confirmed that Hugo Weaving will reprise the role of Elrond while Andy Serkis will return as Gollum and Ian McKellen will again play Gandalf.

have christian bale play Bard and have Bernie Ecclestone as the goblin king under the mountain.
seriously though i hope this movie works, i hope they dont rush it and if it goes ahead then they work on it for as long as they need.
you just know the hype is mega so i hope it lives up to expectations.
in my opinion the lotr trilogy is one of the greatest series of movies of all time.
i reckon lotr will be remembered for decades to come along with other action/fantasy greats like aliens
awesome cast, awesome writing, awesome soundtrack and awesome cgi that doesnt get too tacky or too overused

Doug Jones is rumored to play thranduil, I actually used his face to make thranduil's portrait in the mod. I also used Daniel Day lewis to make Bard's portrait, I think he would make a terrific Bard.
Like the trilogy I would rather have actors that are not big hollywood stars.

Even though Chistian Bale would make a good Bard I think he is too young and wouldn't transmit that stern look of a leader that I associate with Bard's character.

Ever seen 3:10 to Yuma? If the character he plays in that movie isn't stern I don't know what is.Even though Chistian Bale would make a good Bard I think he is too young and wouldn't transmit that stern look of a leader that I associate with Bard's character.

but Ian Holm is way to old now for playing an even younger
bilbo - no way he'll make it in the movie. de is nearly 80 now.

the hobbit movie is not solely based upon the book, it will also bridge the gap between what happens after the hobbit to the start of the lotr, so we may see a official hunt for gollum movie bit etc hence needing aragorn

I'm sure he could pull it off I just think he is not old enough.Ever seen 3:10 to Yuma? If the character he plays in that movie isn't stern I don't know what is.I think he is misinformed, second hobbit movie will most likely cover events that are just hinted in the book like the siege of Dol guldur, including Aragorn would be a considerable stretch.
