Thread: Crimson Tide mod

  1. #1

    Default Crimson Tide mod

I wonder if any of the modding geniuses could reproduce the crimson tide mod we used in M2TW.It made the game much more realistic, I use the smoke and blood mod and it's great but at the end of the battle my little men look as neat and tidy as at start

    Great Idea.

    Wish we could.

Don't think its possible until modding tools are released, there are no blood models for the dead, only the same one and the only blood present is that that is in splashes from being hit. (by a bullet or cannonball).

Having soldiers look dirty when fighting for a while would be a godsend.

An ETW version of Crimson Tide would be excellent!

I had wondered if it might be possible to create a secondary skin for dead models - using the "live" one but making it bloody. But I guess they just use their originating 'live' skin.

Oh I really don't know how but obviously modding tools were available for M2TW. It really added to the game with dust ,dirt, blood snow. For some reason I can't upload any M2TW screenshots to this site from imageshack.

Yeah...but MTW2 had more decent system requirements for "non-working poor teens who are still not legal to go work and whose parents don't invest in gaming" like me, and the blood effects and permanent arrows still didn't effect the game that badly
Vanilla ETW works just fine....only JUST fine with 2 full stacks at about 25fps
With the smoke mod, I get a slideshow

And? There are alot of people that wants new effects, and it would still come in the form of a mod, so you won't need to use it. Why make the game uglier just because some people can't run it? There's a myriad of options avaliable so you can play ETW on even the most crappy system - my old laptop for instance ( however, it doesn't look nice at all.. )

The blood mod does give you hands flying all over the place.
