    After installation of yours a mod, some have ceased to work skinpacks units. For example the Dutch Holland line infantry became in white-grey uniforms, and with others too. How about compatibility of yours a mod?

    you need to change all the re-skin pack into movie packs using mod manager

    it worked for me

    hey killzoneGB what is the advantage of using the control panel for AA AF and setting them low ingame compared to just setting them in the options menu?? not to sure y u do that but im sure theres a reason?

    @KillZoneGB, managed to download it but not test it yet, though I do have a suggestion and a question:
    -why donī t you update the first post a bit to explain how it works (as you did all through the thread)?
    -why didnī t CA do this in the first place?

    Well:

    1. There are highly payed specialists that program these games
    2. welcome to Capitalism mate, they want to get their money asap and history shows that we buy a game even if its bugged (in connection with the Games Magazine lobby that of course only told us all the best about the games)
    3. simple thing, they want to help their friends, the Hardware creation Lobby, ... if you have the absolute amazing expensive new technology the game will run perfect
    4. and last but not least: The paying end-user is the not to BE payed, but payING beta tester This saves a load of Production costs

    Guys I wish i could swear at the moment, not at you but OMG...............

    I had to come out of my Navel test, done a bit of Texture work and rewrote some shaders

    I dont know if i broke it but heres the resolts, am i barking mad?








    Zip folder full of pics, also included the settings.

    I yet to test a land battle, got to engroused in this navel conflict.

    sorry i`m all over the place wanna test the land and see if i mucked up, bound too

    do you guys`n`girls want to test this out? comes in @ 20meg?


    Hi Welshman25, this is all your fault, trying something out, to see if we could use no mips, and use SM3 rarther sm2, pluse a wee tweak here, and there... i have yet to test the land to see if the shaders work there or how well the tiles look. i`ll keep you posted k


    Hi Mr.Gorby (sounds like i`m telling ya off ) if you put killzonegb last on the list i`m sure it will work?

    if not wait a few more days, and i`ll repackage with the SM3 and no mips, and MipFilter alterations.


    Hi dougmadman, in game I have it to x2 and binlinar, but the CC i have it set to X8 X16q (not X16 but 16Q)

    if the game has AA and AF turned on at minamal the Card will override the games setting and use your Cards drivers setting insted.

    Doesn't seem like this is gonna work for me. The only way to fix the bugs seems to be putting textures on high, which my computer can't handle without lag. If only I had gotten that 8600 with my laptop...

    hmmmmmm silly question now maybe ... can it be that all the people that have the washed textures are not on Vista (no DX10) ?? Maybe that it the simple Problem ... I am on Xp myself and have the Problems, and some of your KillZones GPU settings are not even existing in my settings

    For me i can live with the textures, i use skinpacks and the Realistic flag set as "Movie" mod and it is ok, cause this mod still makes my game experience feel a lot better.

    I can feel your pain, i`m due for an upgrade littlle pressy to my self, nothing too fancy, but something that will last 3-5 yrs tops. going to use the xfx 9600 as a phyicsX card.

    just now i had 1500 Vs 1500 min fps 14 smooth, (might go back to 1600x1050 and lower the army to normal size)

    normally i could only do 600 Vs 600-800 tops, before capping out.

    think i`ve fixed the very heavy thick smoke, most effects not all, now use anisotropic and not linear, and I've done you a custom battle tile set with no mips. not to sure i like them but its doubled my performance, me personally i do like the shaders. and the new think firing arc which i can now see perfectly



    would anyone just wish to try the shaders only? sm3 cards only i think. just hollar and i`ll make a shader only pack

    Didnt someone say that empires is a DX 9.c and not DX10?

    no idea, bzut i can definately tell you that my Campaign Map looks definately not that nice as yours, it has this kind of distance shader on it now when you zoom in the background gets a bit washed. But your picture of Berlin really looks better, it looks more like small plastic buildings on the map, mine somehow still feel flat ...

    I also experienced that on another PC with Vista 64 btw ! And hell, your Water looks waaaaay better, and as i saw in other DX10 compatible games on Vista the Water effercts are one of the decicive new effects in DX10. Maybe i can post a compare picture later ...

    Now that intresting, because i`m also using DX10 DLL linked to empires.exe

    I havent removed the dll since installed their memory dll, this seems to stop CDT`s so far, well defenitly not on the battlefield. do you use shadows Ultra and Hardware Shadows, just asking because this builds up depth, be right back...

    interesting, no i do not use that shadow settings as i was afraid of performance probs, but i will test that and tell you the result!

    And what you mean with the DX10 dll lonked ? Just how you said putting the CoH memory dll into Empire folder and lounch game or did you do more ?

    I haven't tried this out yet, but it looks as though you put much effort into this optimization mod and for that I thank you. I don't want to seem like a whiner, but I have a pretty high-end computer (in fact, I bought it for gaming, but don't tell my wife that) and at times I seem to have a bit of a lag problem. I thought I would be able to play on Ultra without any problem and I can't. So, has anyone tried this on an updated rig? Again, I shouldn't complain but if I can run everything thing up to Ultra more smoothly, hey I am all for it.

    Thanks again for all your effort on this. Even if "high-enders" do not really see any benefits from, at least there is now a shot for gamers with older computers to play this game.

    Morrisonicus, those specs well exceed what should be necessarcy to play Empire on ultra with a smooth framerate, are you certain you do not have other factors contributing to your performance? Do you run regular virus/spyware/malware scans? Do you defragment your hard drive regularly? Do you have too much stuff running in the background (page file usage?)? If so, even on a modern rig, things like the above will kill your performance. This mod may help you out, but I honestly wouldn't think you would need it.

    I would just like to say thank you for this great mod seems to work fine for me. I can definitely see an improvement in performance. Although i will have to do more testing in the grand campaign but so far so good. Now i can play with all settings on ultra with no lag excellent. THX again for this great mod......

    99.9% you can put DLL`s in and the Exe will Link them.

    Prime example ENB HDR mod, i guess DX9 FPS hack`s use DLL.

    for example MOHAA use ENB`s. (Good in Mercenary2).

    be careful when downloading DLL`s from the net, you don't know what code is in side.

    Мм..Excuse, but it is possible on more particularly as how to make, I have not absolutely understood, at us a language barrier. As well as that to me to make, that white colors textures structures have disappeared, when I use together this module and mini-mods on re-skin pack models.
