Default back to morrowind, what mods to use?

I am considering reinstalling morrowind since its quite a slow summer regarding games.

The sims 3 was my last purchase but doesnt have enough stuff to do yet, still needs at least one expansion, maybe two and some mods before it really gets started.

Anyway, I am looking for good mods. Without mods Morrowind would be nothing compared to newer games regarding the visual and some gameplay aspects.

Heres a few things I am looking for:

    -removal of cliffracers.

-better bodies and faces (I believe there where mods like that, been years since I played it)

-armor and clothing replacements to go with the improved female bodies. should look different than men.
I dont want armor or clothes added to the game thats exclusive to one gender though. Should work for both but it may appear very different. Should all simply be useable by both genders.

    -sheathed weapons.
I dont even want to know where they hide their weapons without mods. I am hoping that all weapons can appear on the back or the side of everyone when not drawn through a mod.

    -better combat.
The animations and such are quite terrible.. any way to improve combat would be welcome.

-texture improvements and model replacements. Stuff like this can really help boost up the experience, as long as it kind of stays in the same spirit of the game. Textures and model replacements could be for creatures, buildings, armor, clothes, etc. As long as its an improvement.

-making the world alive. Morrowind is a very dead world. I want to see beds and chairs being used at the very least. NPC's moving to different locations around town would also be great. But chairs and beds being used would be the most important. why do they even have furniture if they just stand all their lives?

    -horses.
Not sure if such a thing can be included but it would be great if it is. Theres a lot of walking around after all.

-Better bodies and faces: Download Better Bodies and Better Heads v2 + Ren's Oblivion Hair for Morrowind

    -Armor and clothing: Better clothes

    -Sheathed Weapons: Weapon Sheaths Ultimate

    - Better combat: Combat Enhanced

    - Textures and models: Use the tools I describe in my other thread (especially the MGE) for infinite/long range view distance and add animated grass. As for textures, use Morrowind Visuals Pack Combined

    - Making the world alive: Morrowind Comes Alive and Living Cities of Vvardenfell.

    - Horses: Rideable Guars (Riding a Guar... it's awesome!)

I believe a spot of rep is in order, for my trouble...

thanks for the suggestions, I think I will download most of those.

I have looked for better heads 2.0 but I cant find any version higher than 1.1, where could I find version 2.0?

And the screenshots of the improved combat dont really show anything else than dismemberment and nothing of the actual animations. does it change the animations too?

Its mostly the idle stance of one handed weapons that bugs me, it looks rather terrible. If that would be changed that would be enough for me, unless it looks weird with combat animations.

I also tried to get my hands on CanadianIce's customizable robe replacer since better clothes doesnt seem to change the robes. But the bastard requires me to register and appearantly I cant register with a hotmail email adress. can I get this file somewhere else?

    I use The Facepack Compilation:

    It's fairly decent.

    Haven't tried better heads.

I downloaded better heads 1.1, thanks for the suggestion of facepack but I personly think there are too many different styles in the pack and I prefer a bit of consistency.

On the same note, is there any mod which changes water, and only water? Like so it reflects? Ive got alot of mods installed and the only thing I want to change is the water. Thanks.

The best texture mod I've used has to be the Tamriel Rebuilt mods. They're terrific.

Don't forget to also download his addon for this

    http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.co...119915&id=6005

    and his Tribunal addition

    http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.co...119915&id=5985

    and his Bloodmoon addition

    http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.co...119915&id=5998

and then the Armour replacements (If it is your taste)

    http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.co...119915&id=5882

If you use Tamriel Rebuilt, also don't forget to get the Morrowind Code Patch and apply the fixes. It fixes a lot of stuff in the Morrowind.esm and it also adds a fix so that you can see Tamriel Rebuilt fully on the map.

    and the Unofficial Morrowind Patch

    http://www.etherealsoftware.com.au/patch/

and the Morrowind Mod Manager to organize your load order

    http://timeslip.chorrol.com/current/mwmm.zip

and finally, something that does not remove the cliffracers, but instead makes them friendly!

    http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.co....Detail&id=175

or if you really really did want them removed

I am enjoying some mods, but now that I play Morrowind again I do realize how poor the given directions and journal entries are. And how boring the long walks can be with the annoying cliff racers.

Well you've got the solution to one of those problems right there.
