I downloaded the 1.6 and extract the file with Winrar and with 7-Zip and they both give error message saying 1200 files are corrupt is there sommething not right? downloaded it twice and error message stil pops up?

Is this enough to play some eras.It just takes too much time for the whole thing given in 1'st page to download.

The 1.6 version of this mod has been released.

To install download the conquest.7z file, unpack it, and put the 'conquest' folder in the 'Medieval II Total War\mods' folder (default location "C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods").

To play the 970 campaign you'll need to download the 'conquest patch.rar' attached to the first post of this thread, unpack it, and put the .bat file in the 'Medieval II Total War' folder (default location "C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War").

Is conquest.7z enough to play some eras.It takes too long to download links in the ist page

hello lookes like a great mod.

well I have a few problems installing it.

I have steam medievel kingdom, I put all the files in the main folder. (data, mods, conquest vista, conquest xp, conquest.cfg)

then changed the old amercias folder to americas 1.

then changed conquest folder to americas. so I could launch americas (conquest)

phew hope that made any sense

well when I launch it I press 1 and enter. but I CTD before seeing any loading screen.

The file copying program won't work if you rename the conquest folder. Can you post an error log in this thread so I can try to help you figure out why the mod crashed.

I've modified the XP bat file and attached it to this post (unpack it and use this one instead of the old one). This one should be able to copy files in the Americas folder. Let me know if you need the Vista version.

Wow! What's that mod ?!
It took me hours to install it (+ the patch where you have to do everything by yourself ) and finally I find a mod full of bugs and CTD. I'm not able to start any campaing of any era.
This mod seems to be a really good one so please tell me how are we supposed to play it ?

Here's how I did it (easy way)

1. Download 1.5.2 from here.

2. Download 1.6 from here.

3. Download the new .bat's from here.

4. extract 1.5.2 to your Medieval 2 directory (C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War). Overwrite eveything it asks you to.

5. extract 1.6 to your Medieval 2 directory (C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War). Overwrite eveything it asks you to.

6. extract the new .bat's to your Medieval 2 directory (C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War). Overwrite eveything it asks you to.

After you finish those steps, you're done and you can play the mod (plus, using this method, I have not had a crash since version 1.4!)

This is the thing:
I installed version Eras: Total Conquest in my medieval 2 directory.
Tried to run conquest VISTA (I run windows Vista)
Eras Menu shows up.
Pressed (for example) a and pressed ENTER. CTD is what follows...
I tried then to open up the Eras Menu and press 0, followed by ENTER, nothing happens...
Really need your help with this you guys!!

Why do you use .7z and not winrar? 7z is the most stupid program ive ever seen and i cant extract any of the files. It tells me Cannot open file: bla bla bla

7z files are smaller than rar files. The smaller the file the easier it is to upload.

Also 7zip is free and WinRaR is not. Unless you know of another freeware product that can unpack 7z files I will continue to use 7zip.

Winrar doesnt need to be bought, you can still use it you just get a message "Do you want to purchase" each time starting winrar. By the way, Ive still got the problem, 7z doesnt unpack the 3 files i downloaded, ive followed your instructions, it still doesnt seem to work

I didn't know that but it doesn't change the fact that 7z files are smaller than rar files.

Here is what I wrote in the first post.

2) Right click on the 'conquest 1.5.7z.001', select '7-zip' on the pop-up menu, then select 'Extract Here'. 7zip will unpack all three files. If you have problems extracting these files you can download the whole mod as one file here http://depositfiles.com/en/files/opie1pxqq .
