Hello, I like the job you have done, but i will take for myself a right to make a few observations on a subject of faction designated as Kingdom of Austria.
I understand that you are, in most of the cases, trying to do this mod historically as accurate as possible and I believe in order to do so you have made Austria a kingdom. This, however is not historically accurate as Austria never was an kingdom. It was a duchy, and from 1804 until 1868 an empire. Before HRE Charles V abdicated in 1555 Ferdinand ruled Duchy of Austria in his brother´s name. After 1555 Ferdinand succeed the HRE throne, and son of Charles V, Phillip II succeed him on the throne of Spanish Empire. Austria in that time was a part of HRE. Areas that in this mod belong to Austria(: Hungary(with Slovakia), Bohemia and Croatia) were in fact kingdoms ruled in that time by Ferdinand I. In some moments these kingdom were more dependable on Ferdinand than some of his HRE possessions.
It would be well justified if you change the name of this faction from Kingdom of Austria in Habsburg Empire or Centraleuropean Habsburg Lands as in second case more players could identify themselves with this faction.
2nd suggestion is that you rename Beograd to Nandofehervar as it was Hungarian city at the time and that you replace Olomouc with much more significant Pozsony(Pressburg, Bratislava) wich at the time was capital of Hungary (I am not Hungarian btw )
3rd suggestion is:
from this
to this
and 4th is that you are missing Praha(Prague) which in comparison to Olomouc aslo much more significant
Greetings!

I'm having problems showing how Austria was during this time. I wanted to show how powerful the Habsburgs were but I didn't want Austria to be part of the Spanish Empire so I made it independent of the HRE, which technically isn't correct. Ironically Austria was one of the few places the Holy Roman Emperor directly ruled (since he was a member of the Habsburgs), while the Emperor had little control over the rest of the HRE.
I think the best solution is to rename this faction. How about Habsburg Austria.
I plan to keep Beograde (Belgrade) because it was the second largest Ottoman city. I've already removed Olomouc and replaced it with Carei (the map you have is outdated) but Pressburg seems more relevant. Can you edit the map below to show me where Pressburg would be located?2nd suggestion is that you rename Beograd to Nandofehervar as it was Hungarian city at the time and that you replace Olomouc with much more significant Pozsony(Pressburg, Bratislava) wich at the time was capital of Hungary (I am not Hungarian btw )

Moving these cities shouldn't be a problem.
I have included Praha. It's on the map you posted above Olomouc.and 4th is that you are missing Praha(Prague) which in comparison to Olomouc aslo much more significant

Okay I've moved the settlements you mentioned. Due to the way M2TW works I can't get Buda, Wien, Pozsony, and Zagreb any closer together.
Also Copenhagen is now the capital of Denmark. I'll have to check whether it's possible to siege it.

It has been a good mod for everybody I suppose. Just a humble suggestion though. Is it okay to replace the Holy Roman Empire(HRE) with Khanate of Sibir, the most northern Muslim state of the era (i.e. 1547) in future release/versions? The HRE by 1547 were mostly fractious in polity unlike Valois-France. If a player were to play as the HRE, he is actually ahistorically commanding the Palatinate of the Rhine, the Electorate of Saxony, the Duchy of Bavaria, the Duchy of Savoy and hundreds of other lordships, margraviates, landgraviates, Arch-bishoprics, "united" in a single polity under the imperial double-headed eagle banner. This makes no sense since these polities weren't all allied for a common cause at all times and also considering the belligerents of the Cologne War, waged over religious issues(RomanCatholicism-vs-Protestantism) as a matter of fact.
In hindsight, though Carlos I of Spain was Holy Roman Emperor, I don't think he had de-facto rule over all of his "vassals" in the HRE. In fact, his rule was more de-jure in nature, with the exception of states like Bavaria and the Archduchy of Austria "rallying" to his religious-cause/wars(all staunch RomanCatholics, the latter headed by his brother).
I guess the area/cities "vacated" by the current HRE faction could be filled in by rebels, with early-modern german-skins, -features and -tones and not under a single banner. I suggest to script these individual Rebel factions to be tough, resilient, aggressive and quarrelsome where possible.
Adding the Siberia Khanate as a faction would allow any ambitious player to expand west/east or south and carve out a Northern(&"chilly") Islamic Empire, thus becoming the "Ottoman Empire of the North". A Tsardom of Russia player would also have to contend with the rise of this eastern faction just east of the middle Urals, and it would definitely add much fun to a player of the Russian Tsardom from a historical viewpoint, following and carrying out the footstep of the Tsardom's subjugation of Siberia. Meanwhile, the Conquest of the Khanate of Sibir was only completed in 1598, by then the last of the Ruriks died out.
edit
Also, from a strategical standpoint for a player of the Russian Tsardom, expansion across the east towards the Pacific ocean would require more tactics/efforts since it's now hampered by both northern (Khanate of Sibir) and currently, southern (Khanate of Bukhara & Kazakh Khanate; in mod) factions. I'm sure any player of the Russians could feel accomplished, contented & delighted by conquering these 3 factions to "form the U.S.S.R"(at least in the geographical sense) some 300yrs earlier !
As for the skins for the Khanate of Sibir's troops, i suggest giving them an outlook similar to that of the Kazan Khanate (in the 1453 mod), since both have Tartar roots, except that the former would have more fur-coatings considering how chilly Siberia was. You can also add elements of Northern Yuan troops too since the Siberia Khanate was formed out of the "ashes of the Golden Horde". I envision the troops to be a mix of calvary archers and some quick light calvary, again a blend of the Northern Yuan and the Kazans (of the 1453 mod).
edit
On the other hand, if mod-leader doesn't fancy the Khanate of Sibir, rather than having a "United-HRE"(ahistorical by 1547's context) the HRE could be replaced by the Electorate of Saxony or Duchy of Bavaria much like the Archduchy of Austria was, in-mod.
I hope my suggestion doesn't sound so obnoxious. Thanks mate.

And also, is it possible to extend the northern border of Ming-China slightly to the east to include the Liaodong(literally in Mandarin, "East of the Liao River") Peninsula(a projection of land jutting out into the Bohai Sea)? Currently, the 1547 campaign CGI-map (in starter-post) suggests this error. The Joseon dynasty(1392-1910)'s NW-territory didn't encompass the whole of the Liaodong Peninsula historically. In fact, the current northern-border of the DPRK was that of the Joseon Dynasty's throughout its existence, no-more/less. This border is a natural one, along the Tumen and Yalu Rivers.
Other than that, this mod is a magnificent one as it truly lives up to its name: Era Total(geographically) Conquest(globally)
Some thumbs attached to highlight the Ming's "plight":
1)Ming-China in 1580
2)Ming-China under Emperor Yongle (r. 1402-1424)
3)16th century Japanese pirate raids

Regarding the way the HRE is represented I know it's inaccurate but there isn't really a better way to portray it in M2TW. If I had more factions I could split the HRE into several German states but there is a 30 faction limit. I don't plan to replace the HRE with another German states because these states were all so small that they'd be easily crushed by near by factions. Though if I make a campaign set later it'll have one or more smaller states instead of the HRE, and some HRE regions will be assigned to Austria and Prussia.
Regarding China's borders I didn't realise I'd got it wrong. I'll fix it in the next version.

great job with the campaign! But if it isn't too much trouble, could you release a standalone 1547/empire-campaign mod that has all the updates? i would really only be using that campaign because I want to use the Japanese (you see, the goal is to kill the pope with samurai!...and everyone else for that matter). I also liked being England and fighting the Spanish empire(with massive financial support of the Americas).
Or perhaps a smaller mod to the vanilla game or retrofit to add the japanese units for custom battles?
Thanks again for the mod!
On a side note: don't you guys just love sending stacks of elephants into the middle east from southeast Asia? It's brilliant
I love this mod and this is by far my favorite campaign.
But...
I think Spain conquers America too fast. By turn 10 they had all of North America.
I like this Campaign, although it's a shame you can't nerf Spain without it being grossly inaccurate, But why is Korea's unit roster so craptastic, even rebels probably have better units than them
