No senate please

I want to get rid of the senate but I can't find a mod which only does this. Can you please give me a tip?

Here's a quote from a post I made in another thread. This should give you a general idea, how to remove the Senate yourself. But you will need to know how to mod the descr_strat.txt.

All you have to do is giving rome to the romans (julii) or any other faction, if you like. Then remove all the Senate's characters and generals except one named character and his bodyguard. Move him to some place far away (ireland for example) and finally set romans to be at war with the senate. The Senate should now die as soon as you start a new campaign. This is the way bouis did it in the roma mod.

There is a tutorial in the tutorials and walkthroughs section of the forum about modding the descr_strat.txt. If you have the time, do it yourself. It's worth learning.

It is very hard to remove the senate . You will just have to ignore them.

If you mean the Senates Mission, these can, as far as I know, only be removed, if you remove the whole Senate.

Its not very hard to remove the senate. Go to descr_strat.txt, in the world folder. Scroll down to the senate faction and make it look like this:

Do not copy and paste this. It may not be in the right format. Make sure every line has a semi-colon.

Seleucos, you said that every line should have semi-colon but the vanilla descr_strat file does not have those, are they necessary if you do any modding of charachters/provinces? Ive been trying to mod my vanilla game a bit but i have had a lot of problems with the campaign not starting after i have changed provinces or charachters. (it just goes back to single player menu)

semi-colons just make your game "read over the line". These can either be personal nots or just things you do not want.

If you move the settlement of Rome to the ownership of the rebels, the they would be then. You can give the settlement to any faction, the best being a Roman faction.

I'm getting a crash to desktop when the senate office button is pressed & i still have the Senate in my game, It didn't used to crash?
