    Default When is platoon fire gonna be fixed?

    Platoon fire as everyone knows is useless. I tried a battle French Buckley's Rgt. vs Swiss Guards. Swiss Guards cost more and have better stats but Swiss Guards use platoon fire while Buckley's Rgt. use fire by rank. Guess who won. Buckley's regiment of course and the reason is they had fire by rank instead of platoon fire.

    Platoon fire is supposed to be more advanced than fire by rank so why does it suck so much. The reason I see is that the rate of fire is slower than the speed in which the troops reload. If they can make the unit fire faster to keep up with reloading then it would be usefull. But right now you have troops that are done reloading and must wait a long time for their turn to fire. Platoon fire should be fixed.

    And when fire and advance is always beaten by platoon fire then you know there is something definatelly wrong with fire and advance. What is the point of it? I never found any use for it. If the men would run faster and the next row that is comming from the back would advance before the unit in front fires then it would be more useful. You could create columns and keep constant rate of fire. But as it is right now its useless. Only people that want to loose their units do this.

    And the last issue I have is with the squares. It works very well but there is some issues. When engaged in melee the sides that are opposite of the engaged side will not fire regardless of what unit walks in front of them. Also squares fire only all at once. So if a cavalry unit runs towards a square gets shot from the front but instead of charging it bypasses the square from the side it will not get shot by the side until the front reloads. The only way all would fire is if the square has a horse unit on each side without engaging it. So they need to fix that. If its a balance issue they can simply increase the time it takes to form into a square.

    So please CA you did a good job last patch now fix this issue and the gamplay will be golden.

    Oh yea fix light infantry formation facing problem and skirmish retreating its very annoying.
