    Icon3 Saving Campaign Battle Replays - It's possible

    So far, many of us (if not all ) knew that to save campaign battles is impossible. I've read many posts in which members expressed their sadness that after a awesome battle they could not save it. SO:

    I just want to share this with you. Saving campaign battles is possible:

    1. Play your campaign battle.
    2. When it's finished (the screen with statistics) just open the console by pressing ~ and type:
    save_battle_replay name (attention to VISTA users: if the folder "replays" is not in ...\Medieval II Total War\ you will have to create it by your own, otherwise you will get an error.)
    3. Exit the statistics screen, save your campaign, exit the game, then go to your ...\Medieval II Total War\replays. There you should find it. The common mistake was that everybody (at least me) searched the replay in TATW folder where we could not find it.

    • saved replay games have a .rpy ending
    • they have to be put in ".\..\Mediewal II - Total War\mods\Third_Age\replays
    • to load a game replay start TATW and go to 'Main Menu' > 'Load Game' > 'Load Battle Replay'
    • you will get an error message but don't worry, click accept and your replay will load.

    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    4. That's it. Play it, take it in Cinematic Editor, do what you want with it.

    You will not be able to exit the game in the normal way, Exit Battle will not work, so my solution is to minimize it by pressing ALT+TAB, then start Task Manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL, and close kingdoms.exe.

    I present you a not so nice person who till today couldn't be found so often in screenshots
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    Many thanks to jản who led me on this track. So, in case you will rep me, please rep him also!

    Enjoy!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Users that have problems getting it to work right:
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Legolose: His replay is crushing to desktop when he is trying to play it. His installed submods: Misslie mini-mod and Generals are ageing to fast
    Soul Firez: His first replay worked fine, now every battle he saves results in a CTD when he is trying to play it. ```````````` Kind of resolved: his watching his replays in Cinematic Editor and all are working
    Too late for me, my brave (and now mostly dead) orcs' awesome storming of the triple walled Hornburng is long over and lost to the digital void.
    But thanks for sharing the info, I'm sure it'll make many people happy.
    Yes same here, but later is better than never .
    Just think for the upcoming 1.2, maybe epic battles will follow again with the ENTS in charge
    Actually that nice person can be found in a custom battle with my small mod here
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=274629
    But thanks anyway, I've fought so many beautiful campaign battles that I've wanted to look at
    after, but never been able to. And now it's possible.
