    Default Economy questions

Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it using the search function.

I've noticed that depending on the difficulty level you constantly lose a great amount of money which isn't represented on the money balance scroll. I myself think this is due to scripts to make the game more challening and favourable for the AI. Is this true or am I just missing out on something because I constantly have a great amount of profit but this doesn't show when I end the turns.

    *Example: startbudget = 4000, profit = 6000, money next turn = 7000

    Thanks,

    Were you building anything?

    Because building does that

Indeed, when you add a building to the queue, it does not deduct the cost from your treasury until the building before it is done.

No I tested it just ending turns without building or recruiting out anything. When I have 2000 budget and 6000 profit then when I end the turn my money is like -1000 during the ending of the turn and then the next turn it reads 4000 or something. Could you try it aswell see if it's the same in your game?

That happens when an unit or building gets in the queue, the money is substracted during the turn, and the EOTR scroll doesn't show that.

The other thing (besides which axnsan and the others told you) can be if you move units/armies out from your towns (losing free upkeep) after checking the preview.

That's a possibility, but I'm talking about 2000-4000 florins, upkeep of your beginning military (of which most reside in cites thus free upkeep) isn't that much. Try a random new campaign on VH/VH and don't do anything for like 10 turns and you'll see, I tried the same and I noticed that on every difficultylevel the amount of money you lose varies. The lower the difficultylevel the less you lose.

Hmm.... what do you think, does the pre-calculator count the rise of corruption? But that one can not be cca. 2000 difference. Hmm... no more ideas. Anyone else has a suggestion?

Does AI spending policy play a role here? Check the position of spending indicator between Save and Spend.
