    And, if a faction has only that, then it might underline historical backgrounds that they weren't a naval power.
    Plus, i consider it even more realistic to have no ships available in fishing ports, which have a naval battle ability. It'll help also the AI to decide to contruct naval ports and trade ports, if a port-settlement is ready to contruct.

    Important is indeed though, that we'll enable a warship-recruitment for trade ports, far less than for war-ports, but just to enable them in limited number.

Just that you know it, born+living in Hamburg, i'm a "waterboy", or better said was it as child/youth, my sister was born in Cuxhaven, a northsea port-city of Germany where the river Elbe goes into the sea, and our whole family spent from my first life-years on vacations at the sea german coasts up to most northern Denmark ('Skagerak' or so), both northsea and eastsea (baltic sea) sites. The family of one of my longtime girlfriends was a traditional fisherfamily in Hamburg ... so i should be biased for fishermen.

    Zappa: i'm finalizing some changes, there is still a lot of work, (especially with those wind points,etc) - Right now i'm testing slightly different Indiaman based on 2deck44 instead of 2deck64. I also gave it more guns, but I will reduce gun accuracy (25 vs 65) and reload speed (4 vs 16 ) to make them bad with guns - they were just civilian sailors, not profesional gunners...

    (removing most of guns has some unpleasant morale hit effect... plus, East Indiamans were often heavilly armed, comparable to Frigate, but slower and much less maneurable)

    any idea on a rough release date
    not trying to rush u but 0.60 was a long time ago and the mod has looked like expanding a long way from just campaign tweaks

    ..."long time ago"..."long way"... is good, 0.60 release is 6 days ago, and the first release with just campaign tweaks was on 1st July.
    Edit: I just forgot that 0.60 was already on another server prior to the TWC dl section for a few days - okay it's now "long ago"

    Let me say the next update is due in this month, and it is planned to be a big relaunch of the current mod.

    DER+ will be changed a lot, so if you wanna play Darthmod as you say then you should do that.
    However DER+ will be most likely released prior to the 27/07/08. It also will come as an around 200 MB pack file as for a lot by me implemented third party stuff (check out 1st post changes).

    Can you make some changes in Small nation economy big nation economy. I try to keep up my armies but even with a big Austrian empire I only get like 4500 a turn. Maybe tweak tax income. And it's unfair that Venice can have like 2200 troops when they only have like 2500 income total?

    So rather make them have more people's militia and reskin them to have a more proffesional look. I dont want to get steamrolled by major factions. And please stop the handicap you get on vh/vh. It's just ridiculous. They have 8 full stacks of army I can only pay the upkeep of one, even after economy upgrades.

    Guess you meant minor factions, right? Minor nations are normally not programmed to steamroll the major faction, means they are non-expansionists.

    I haven't touched the VH handicaps as of yet.
    You "complain" about too much advantages for your AI enemies? Play it not on VH/VH is the simple solution * ... i never ever saw minor nations or any other with 8 stack big armies in my DER+ playtesting, but i also never have time to play ie. into the middle of the campaign time ie. 1750 years. So my question, when did you see 8 stack armies? I'll then, along your reply, think about more cash-flow changes for minors etc.

    Else, see the last update info list, upkeep will be decreased for all units with the next release. Everything is work in progress, btw.

    *DER+ is balanced on H campaign difficulty, and even on H battle difficulty.

    Hello, just would like to inform Empire mod players, that this project calling atm. Darthmod Empire Realism+ might be renamed soon to simply Empire Realism+. This just to avoid any confusions.

    DER+ (currently the shortform name) started as small campaign tweak mod on Darthmod Empire files. His mod version 2.2 files are the source-base, but a lot is changed and added in the meantime, and much more with our next release.

    We moved lately (yesterday) to this forum section here from formerly positioned under Darthmod Empire submod forum. DER+ was from the start on a standalone installation, but players obviously installed DER+ on Darthmod Empire, but that would "overwrite" completely the Darthmod Empire files, so it is obviously needed to proceed a change of the site-location and also a name-change.
