Did anyone here see Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows when it came out?

I actually went to the CINEMA to see Blair Witch 2. I felt so ashamed afterward, like I'd rolled in dog in public and everyone had seen me and laughed.

This is what I see Donnie Darko 2 being.

If there were ever ANY film that ever got made which stood alone absolutely and of itself; a film for which a sequel could not be LESS appropriate - it is Donnie Darko (one of my top 10 favourite films of all time).

This is voluntary mental retardation at its' most hideous.

I will not see it. I absolutely will not.

There is absolutely no need for a sequel to Donnie Darko, except that they can charge silly teenagers for it.

Alas, I will not be seeing see this.

Donnie Darko is probably my favourite movie ever.

There is no chance in hell I'm watching this excuse of a sequel.

The bit after the colon says it all 'A Donnie Darko tale'

    Barely associated with the original

The original writer/director, Richard Kelly, and all of the previous cast/crew have nothing to do with this spinoff waste of time.

I am really not sure about the ending of the original DD. What exactly happened? Did the plane still crash in an alternate reality?

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Yeah, it crashed and Donnie was in his room this time, killing him, thus preventing the things that happened in the other reality.

It's like painting a moustache on the Mona Lisa and calling it a sequel.

But Donny knew it was coming this time. What happened to the Donny in the alternate reality then? in the future as it were.

That's why he did it. He wanted to prevent his girlfriend from dying, so he went trough the wormhole and back in time, killing the other timeline and creating a new one where he dies.

    Time-travelling is some confusing .

It is physically possible, that is the scary thing. No, the thing is, he left the alternate reality, he did not destroy it. It was another dimension of time.
