This video gives an insight into my local roman fort which housed a port which in turn allowed the stopping of attacks by sea pirates and enabling fair trade. It was built in the early 3rd century The fort was called Garriannum I think and it's 150 to 250 yds away from where I live. Many people don't visit it however 5 miles up the road there's burgh castle a roman fort in which the wall is intact.

its in east anglia. i've been to both Burgh and Caister when i was staying around the Lowestoft area. Burgh is over rated to be honested. its just one wall really... caister is more obviously extensive, even if it is more ruinous
