Thread: The game wont start up

Default The game wont start up

Today i decided to uninstall Empire total war and reinstall it because some files got messed up accidentally. So after i uninstalled it and started it up, it would get to the first screen before seeing intro video then crash.

I would also like to mention that the first time i uninstalled Empire i deleted the steam file. I'm not sure i should have done that but like i said, some of the files were messed up.

I would like some advice on what to do.

    What hardware are you running?
And what do you mean by "file being messed up"

I know i can run it, im sure of it. Before i uninstalled it I was playing it on everything ultra with stable FPS.

I downloaded the smoke and blood mod, but accidentally removed some other files. So when i took it out, the game would crash. And then i couldn't play multiplayer.

So i decided to reinstall the game.

Its strange but in my users folder, there is nothing of creative assembly or anything related to it.

    this works...

but u need to go to your control panel... then go to floders... and look for the option to "show hidden folders"...

i've been working on this crap for several hours and finally got my first game today!!!
