Default Creating more space in descr_model_battle.txt in Rome

    Hi

When adding some of Ferres' models to R:TW today, I exceded the limit of entries that are allowed in descr_model_battle.txt, mostly because of the need to create new entries for the new models as many of them replaced models used by multiple factions.

While this isn't too big a problem now, it could become one when I find more models and skins that I'd like to use, and I was wondering whether there was any way to increase the number of entries you could have in that file, or if it was possible to create another file to contain this info that can still be referenced by export_descr_unit.txt, or am I a little bit stuffed?

    Thanks!

It's hardcoded. There is no way around it.

    Curses...

As an alternative way around, is there anyway to have one unit entry in that file with different models for different factions? (i'm assuming not)

I was thinking export_descr_units.txt. It has a hardcoded limit.

The descr_model_battle.txt, I don't know. In the mod forums they had a list of hardcoded limts. Also you may want to download one the mods that maxxed out the faction limit and see what kind of a limit they came up with.

Apparently the limit for descr_model_battle.txt is 255.

I've cleaned up some 'unecessary' units, and now have about 15 free slots, which should be enough for the time being.

There is a work around yes actually. I have not done it myself-have to consider though, lol. Here-http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=209039 and via http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=249927 for a DMB tool.
