Legion Reform Save

hi, i'm playing as rome, but im dead anixous to try the legions. unfourantely, it takes far too long, for me, to get to them. does anyone have a save on the date they get legion reforms? if possible, with a small empire.

If you sail to byzantium , take it then sack the place and leave you should get the reforms

Would Byzantium be at the level required by the start of the game?

this has been asked before, and i don't think anyone actually ever posted a save of theirs.

you can easily play a couple of turns before you can recruit your named legions I presume.

just set your taxes to low to make your cities grow faster and then:

You can trigger the Marian Reforms in the following cities by building an Imperial Palace:

Mediolanium
Patavium
Byzantion
Tarentum
Croton

Actually I beleived they said you couldn't do it in Croton, and that that was a mistake, or had been removed, or something.

Here you go, my empire is spread out in all directions but its quite small and easy to handle.

I believe i only got 2-4 turns left until Imperial Palace is built in Tarentum.
