It's very strange that the links got broken. Here's the link now:

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downl...do=file&id=464

I notice the readme for the download got messed up also. I think this happened after some recent hardware changes, i.e. maybe when TWC changed hands from OgresNet to imb386, but anyhow you can d/l the animations at the link above. I'm too lazy to fix the html for now.

sorry for disturbing but i got a small problem....the anims are great i mean my legionaries look real now, but only if i can get them to fight.....when i order my men forward they advance in a diagonal way, they head to the northeastern part of the map and its really hard to make them fight..its nearly impossible to make them advance as a proper legion anv virtualy impossible to make them fight like one....they also run and walk with no orders from me and the enemy seems not willing to attack and sometimes his units also head northeast.....this thing started when i installed the anim pack

sorry for any inconvenience but i have no idea of how turning this thing off

    Hi,

I was wondering is it possible to get a hoplite unit using swords as their main weapon in melee combat and spears for throwing - alas making an entirely new Greek unit ??

As for the Greek hoplites right now, they should IMHO slash, cut & thrust at their targets more frequently, the pauses are too long if I've observed correctly.

Can anyone help me with this ???

    Thanks in advance

The pausing has to do with the game, not with the animations (they themselves have very little delay in them).

Using swords and spears is simple, just follow the Roman units example.

im having a really wierd problem, i transfer all the files into the animations folder(it just overwrites the previous) and the game starts fine but when i have a custom battle, it has a wierd effect. The second i tell my units to march, they go in a sparratic movement where it seems that evrybody is trying to reform, it is odd and very annoying. The AI also do this. Any suggestions? plz help

Dude these look AMAZING!!! You have GOT to make a self-installer for this stuff to make it easier to install! I'm dying to try this out! (Note: The phalanx position you showed is the Greek style before Philip II and Alexander. The phalanxes in the game are the Macedonian-style phalanx (underhand.))

Still totally awesome, can't wait to try out. Are the animations the same for Marius legionaries? What about Triarii?

Sorry I've moved on to M2TW so the current state is where it's at now.

The installation instructions are clear, no need to post EDB (that's not the right file to edit anyway...)

Sorry about the download link, I'll fix it up yet again (they keep breaking archived download links).

a question about the Hoplite "Sheild Wall"... Is it meant to be a ability like the phalanx or does it just goes by itself?

The overhand hoplite animation works with or without the shieldwall (which is like 'phalanx'). But overhand plus shieldwall looks, and acts, the best.

grr... i meant if it was like a formation you used like a phalanx... Like if you need to push in a button to make them do a sheild wall

Shield wall is an attribute the same as Phalanx, yes, iirc 'Shield wall' doesn't engage automatically as Phalanx does, so yes you need to select it.
