    You said it right there. That's exactly what they do. They fire one volley when the elephant first moves and then they stop.

    How? Through some of my own personal Sig1 voodoo magic Do they fire? The behavior is abit unusual, they did fire at least once but they don't release like a volley in regular intervals. One of the problems with infantry javelinmen is that there is a certain minimum firigng range number, below which their range cannot be set. That's probably why these men in the one test I did did not fire too much, because no one was 'far enough' to be in their firing range. But that problem, if's o be tackled, should be isolated and compartmentalized to be solved later. I'm just glad i got this far, only took me an hour of work to get the javelins on the elepants. Baby steps for now...

    Hm. In a battle stance it is usual to point with weapon to enemy's eyes, and when raising the sword or axe for slash, you should not go with hand behind the head. It is then easier to cover a quicker counterattack. Sure, perhaps untrained barbarians had no such ideas, I train medieval german school, however handling of shields and weapons is very similar to early iron age anyway. Also, horse archers have usually shorter bows, with which is easier to fire horizontally. At least for me it was ;D

    There must be something wrong (or should i say right? lol) with my game. They allways fire while moving as long as they have amunition!
    I didn't mod the elephants except for a reskinning job, how can this be working for me and not for other people?

    SigniferOne, I was pointing at the pictures on the lead side. Romans are perfectly made, but those barbarians are weird. Perhaps in game it looks differently, but I only wanted to share experience ;)

    Oh I simply forgot to change the title there, yes it is the new version. Wait a few moments, I will update the ZIP with a readme file.

    EDIT: Alright, both the description of the mod in the downloads section, and the readme within the zip, have been updated.

    Hi SigniferOne.

    I've tested the mod a little and have to report a bug.....sorry ^^. When my legionaries are in close combat and swith between different animations (like holding the shield close --> turning to the enemy --> stabbing --> turning....and so on) there is some kind of....flickering. It looks like the animations are being switched with light-speed, the shield seems to go up for a fraction of a second....

    Could you check this?

    Could you describe this in more detail? Is it a looped repeating occurrence? When does it happen? etc

    Yes, it happens continuing during the close combat. It looks like the soldiers are about to lift the shield over the head, but only for a millisecond...it just happens so quci that it looks like flickering.

    So I guess this doesn't happen for you? I testet differnt soldiers (like prometheus' legionaries and ferres' augustinian legionaries). So it's not the model....

    I tried to record a video, but 5 seconds video are still to big for my exremely limited webspace. I hope you find the problem and I hope I'm not the only one with the problem ;-).

    I'll check back in....maybe 20 hours, I will be very busy tomorrow
