    Icon11 Swedish Hip Hop?

    Hey found some really really great beats from swedish artists that Ive never heard before! I mean this sound is awsome compared to more mainstream american beats.

    Seems that its less gangsta lyrics and more down to earth...
    Anyway Ill post some examples, some in english and some in swedish;

    Wikipedia: Emerging in the first half of the 1980s, Swedish hip hop was first heard from the cities of Stockholm and Malmö. In the early days, most rappers in Sweden rapped in English. Funkalics and The Latin Kings, two very different acts united by their innovative use of the Swedish language, debuted a decade later and paved the way for a second, and bigger, breakthrough for Swedish hip hop. Today, some of the most popular rappers use Swedish, often in the form of "Rinkeby Swedish", the youth vernacular of many suburbs dominated by immigrants.

    I kinda like the first Petter song, but the others are IMO shite. I find all these examples to experimental in their techno/disco style and especially the fake Kanye is bad in a bad way.

    Why cant we just stick to the roots of hip-hop, and let it be "gangster" whatever its supposed to mean.

    Dirt cheap... Can hardly compare to L.O.C, Ufo Yepha, Jokeren, Tro.L.S./Orgi-E, etc... and for the more girly crowd Nick&Jay.

    I don't listen to it at all anymore. I think it's childish nowadays. And those above are just really really horrible. And you have to understand swedish to appreciate swedish hip hop .
    This is one of the few (only) swedish hip hop artists I appreciate

    Organism 12 - Maskros Barn

    Organism 12 - Diamanttårar

    Here's an old hip hop group called Sherlock and they rap in english.

    KILL IT WITH FIRE!

    The common culture of a tribe is a sign of its inner cohesion. But tribes are vanishing from the modern world, as are all forms of traditional society. Customs, practices, festivals, rituals and beliefs have acquired a flut and half-hearted quality which reflects our nomadic and rootless existence, predicated as we are on the global air-waves.
