    Default Change City names

Does anyone know how to change the city names? Ι cannot bear seeing Thessalonica as Solum and Constantinople as Tzarigrand. The original names are better

Tell me about it. The names are horrible. I was hoping this mod was going to be historically accurate.

Yea when you open a city scroll if you own the city double click the name at the top and there you can change it.

Another option is by modding where there are plenty of tutorials in the mod workshop

Thanks man, I never thought it would be so easy to change the names, I thought I would have to go in and change the script. Thanks again!

There is, but it's a matter of personal taste. In Bulgaria Total War, we use the Bulgarian names for the cities. Though, as far as I remember, you can easily change a city's name in-game, once you own it (don't ask me how though - I haven't done it since ages).

If you do not like a settlement name, you can simply open a scroll and type whatever you want. You can call it Johnnyville, if you would like. You can even rename your faction.

If the next version is for Kingdoms, I think it was possible to have a script changing the names of the cities based on who conquers them. Is anything like that planned for BTW 3.0?

Only if we find a good coder (or any coder, for that matter) with enough free time.

Good point - scripted cities renaming is perhaps one of the least important things that could be included in the new version. But it would be cool none the less.
