Thanks Astaroth, I will post an updated version with more visible text, it looked really cool in just plain white because of a grunge brush effect I had overlain onto it, making it seem very natural, but I suppose when I added some minor effects it became more translucent and less noticeable, I shall change that asap.

Odd, that pic's over 2,000 x 800 for me. Thanks, Astaroth.

Not bad, although it would probably be even better if the three ninjas weren't stretched vertically. Remember, the wallpaper can be bigger than 800x800 pixels as that is only the minimum size.

Another idea would be put the creatures next to the ninjas instead of on top of them and to add a border to the wallpaper. It's up to you, though.

    Looking forward to it.

I would like to thank you Astaroth.
This was great class and you were great professor. I had GIMP installed for quite some time but never take a time to learn more about it. With this class I learned a lot.

    Thank you once more.

    Cheers

Looking forward for your future classes

Agreed with sithlord and Tzar, sorry if you have mentioned this before, but what other wisdom will you impart upon us in the future? I eagerly await the thread mentioning such a thing!

I think he was referring to the TWC Uni degrees which are awarded upon completing a class.

Yes, you deserve big thanks Astaroth. Your lessons have been rewarding and enjoyable. Hope you'll keep tutoring. I'll drop a message in the feedback thread as well. Again, thanks, sharing knowledge is always appreciated.

Here is mine wallpaper. I tried to use as many techniques we have learned including some new one, I learned myself. I used blending, border making, golden text, waves and much more.

    This is the old image:

I have also made five portraits for a submod for third age total war. What do you think of them?

Good job, nice wallpaper. Although it technically is a bit too small I'll accept it since you have used many techniques and achieved a good result.

The ent portraits are quite good, although it might be better if you made them stand out more, e.g. by adding a soft white glow behind them and/or by changing the background a bit.

Anyway, here's the updated list of everyone who has successfully completed this exam and the GIMP Basics Class:

And here are those who have already posted either their animation or their wallpaper:
