Self explanatory, if you have any ideas to make TGW better, feel free to post them here.
It has probably been asked in the original topic, but expanding the map to include all of mainland Greece, and perhaps the eastern rim of the Aegean would be nice.
Granted this would take not only more map, but also new factions, so it would not be easy...

I should probably learn to map to take some pressure off Sel then

I've recently been thinking about that. My time has been severely limited lately, but I think I can manage a slight extension to the north, which would necessitate the inclusion of a few more factions: namely Aetolia, Phocis (Third Sacred War, here we come!) and perhaps Macedon starting with some small cities in southern Thessaly. Anything more and the need for new factions would soon rise to unmanageable levels, I'm afraid...
Larissa would probably be the furtherest north that we go wouldn't it?

Probably not even that north. With Larissa we'd need to include Epirus, and that would mean that the map would have to be expanded to the west. I think we can barely avoid that by setting the map border just north of Pharsalos, although I'll have to look into the status of the states between that and Phocis.
Another option is to expand the map to the east and south, to include Crete and the other islands, but that will dramatically alter the land to water ratio, and I'm afraid RTW can't handle that well. It might end up being a lot of work for a mod that won't run, plus, on the scale we're using, there would be huge sea distances.
Well, being a TGW purist, I personnally don't want it to expand beyond the story area.
However, I would not be against the creation of two versions - a "Historical" mod for the mod.
Viva la Defenestrate!
We lack a modeler, unfortunately. While we'd love to give them those helmets, we cannot.
Viva la Defenestrate!
Marines use a corinthian helmet (actually an earlier variant). I would have given them a lighter one, but I can't model so I had to make use of the helmet already in place... But I'm fairly certain corinthian helmets weren't that popular at that time, certainly not as much as the other helmet types we're using, although it could still be in widespread use in some parts of the Greek world...
It would actually be possible to include both a historical version and the story version in the same mod folders etc... replace the Sons of Mars campaign with the TGW one and replace the provincial campaign with the historical one. Therefore we could have two campaigns in one...
That's if someone could confirm that it's possible

You could make 0-turn recruitment.-Atleast for the low-tier units. It would make the game more dynamic with more battles.I haven't played this mod yet(sorry for this one),so I don't know the unit costs, but it would be great if the costs wouldn't be very high or the economy would be good.
It would be good too to have a good unitdiversity. You could ask permission to use some Hegemonia units(or its old units)--they have some great units.
Hope that I been helpfull.
And good luck.

It's great if you want to learn to model!

That's for M2 OJ, the skins and models work differently between the two games

Oh, yeah... sorry.
It's just that RTW models works with M2, and I forgot it's not the other way around... (you can convert RTW models).
There's just one detail.
How he made a helmet from scratch!
You could use that, it's the same, and you can do any weapon...
He took a picture of the helmet from two sides, and used it to create a 3D version.
Check that out?
