    Default Installation made simple

    The easy install (will work for STEAM as well, see details for registry entry below):

    Note to Vista users:
    You might have to add the allusers switch in your cfg file:

    1. Open the cfg file in the westeros directory with Notepad.
    2. Copy and paste the following lines into the file at any place, preferably at the end:

    Code:
    [game]
    allusers = 1
    unlimited_men_on_battlefield = 1
    allusers will enable all users of the machine
    unlimited_men will enable reinforcements all the time (beware your specs!)

    Attached you will also find a registry entry for Westeros. It will work with the Launcher, so chances are pretty good it will work with Steam as well. Simply extract and double click. Feedback will be appreciated.

    Please refer to this tutorial for installation enabling use of the launcher (works for non-Steam as well): Creating a World - Mod Install for Steam

    Darkstar, please sticky this or add it to the Bug Reports and Solutions thread...

    "Five had been his brothers. Oswell Whent and Jon Darry. Lewyn Martell, a prince of Dorne. The White Bull, Gerold Hightower. Ser Arthur Dayne, Sword of the Morning. And beside them, crowned in mist and grief with his long hair streaming behind him, rode Rhaegar Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone and rightful heir to the Iron Throne."

    The reg file is linked to the original names of the path and the mod folder. If you have changed either of them then it will not work.

    I don't want to be sarcastic, but do you know how to use the windows explorer?

    If so, then browse to your Medieval 2 Total War folder (usually in Program Files\SEGA\. There is a subfolder called "mods" - you found it!

    Not trying to be sarcastic but, key word usually there is and it seems there isn't one for mine.

    I've looked everywhere....

    Well, if you don't have a mods folder then you don't have a mod. Sorry about that.
    In that case you have to create the folder yourself. correct spelling: mods

    Did you follow the steps in the first thread?

    1. Move the ZIP file into an empty directory or create one (I always use c:\install)
    2. Extract all the files there by right clicking and choosing 'extract here'
    3. 'Cut' the new Westeros directory and paste it into the mods directory of Medieval2
    4. Click the batch file to play.

    Can you post a log of that? It sounds kind of vague, but I think you've probably mis-installed it.
