nice update
There was not a single battle worth a closer look so...
Next time there should be.
Stavros: Hello. I'm back... things are not better but I have dealt with this thing... thanks to my therapist.
I have unleashed Acrotatus and he is now proceeding to eliminate Pontusians...Pontics...Pontiacs...Chrysler... ? Whatever. Those Greek-Eastern hybrid people living east from Nicomedia. And by Greek-Eastern I mean like Thracians are Greek-Barbarian these are like Thracians but with Eastern cavalry and stuff. You know.
Acrotatus' army has been pillaging Pontiacs...Pontus... territory for some time, surviving by eating roots and drinking their own sweat, Acrotatus thinks its "Spec-op" style, whatever that means. But now they are engaged by rather large enemy force.
Narrator: The fight begins with a fierce heavy cavalry charge by Cappadocian cavalry. Hoplites quickly proved themselves a lot more effective at close combat.
Right flank was charged by heavy spearmen and hillmen. Acrotatus' Galatian mercenaries inflicted terrible casualties at their spear-armed foes. Peltasts slung javelins at enemy's heavy spears.
Main hoplite line charges with Galatians and Peltasts flank... enemy soon starts to waver. Their general is bombarded by Peltasts remaining javelins and then charged by Acrotatus and Peltasts. Spartan weapons could pierce enemy's weak wicker shields at ease, but enemy's weapons could not touch Spartans inside their heavy armor.
Enemy soon breaks and flees. They are ran down by angry Greeks.
It is a heroic victory. Finest heavy cavalry in Asia minor is not an obstacle to Spartan.
Unfortunately for enemy general, he is caught by Acrotatus...
Stavros: So, Sinope is ours.
However, there are dark clouds in the horizon... Carthage means business.

Part... something - Saturday night tragedy - Remember to keep the music on, boys and girls.
Stavros: Hello. Athenians have decided to attack the walls of Corinth with everything they have. Defenders will keep the city and teach some moves to the attackers. Enemy outnumbers the defenders but saturday night luck is on our side...
Captain Lasthenes: C'mon boys! Let's put some music on and show them how we'll fight!
Lasthenes: Burn baby, burn!
Narrator: Superior Athenian force was given an important lesson: Do not bring short assault ladders on stone walls. After tower was burnt down by awesome music of brave defenders, the walls were successfully defended by heavy hoplites and peltasts.
Stavros: Victory! Excellent! Odds seemed bad at first but this significantly weakens the Athenians.
...Even more good news. We don't need enemies, but friends. Those we have few.
Indeed, one of those enemies siege Akrotatus camping in Sinope. Enemy has superior forces... not good.
Akrotatus has a problem... his forces are mostly composed of peltasts, veterans but still only peltasts.
Narrator: The battle does not go well for the defenders... but where is Akrotatus?
Guard: Sir? Should we join the fight already? It is not going well...
Akrotatus: No, soldier. I am not dry yet!...
Raaaargh! Charge!
Narrator: Despite staying alive for minutes in the middle of Bronze shield unit, even great man such Akrotatus must fall..
...it is... a Tragedy. He is the last of the defenders cut down by enemy...
Stavros: Nicomedia is lost and Akrotatus dead... Oh well. Greece is secured, only Athens standing independent but they shall fall swiftly!
News from his son's death reach Areus which is too much for his old heart. A tragedy.
It's a pity that this story stopped,
and there are no new After Action Reports with such a good sense of humor
Let us not forget how to behave Chivalrous - Chivalry is not dead.
The last update has a great soundtrack indeed
