That's fragging awesome. I have trouble enough walking down the street to the shops god knows how I'd manage something like Spain.

Under the patronage of Nihil. So there.
a friend of mine made that.. from Venice to Santiago de Compostela on foot.. this is madness
The English way to Santiago is along the Mar Cantabrico, from Plimouth to the Galican shore...i bet is easier , also in summer is better the sea path along the shores of Country Basque, Asturias and Cantabria, all is greener and is full of people that join you in some part of the walk, is a huge experience. The mass is awesome there when they bring the botafumeiro and move it inside the cathedral.

bravo for your lonely and heavy walk!
Andalusian Cubism.
I passed a very old Austrian women who walked from Vienna! Some of the religious pilgrims are very dedicated.
@Alhamar
Unfortunately I missed the main pilgrim mass in July with the botafumeiro by staying an extra day in Pamplona to watch the running of the bull's. (I keep intending to go back and run myself one day.)The mass is awesome there when they bring the botafumeiro and move it inside the cathedral
Very nice m8, im planning in doing it too, but from Portugal to Spain.
I think there is no Caminho Portugues, the only true route is to Fátima, the holy place of the country much like Lourdes or Santiago, anyway i should start only in the border, with some more people, only 6 days of walking, sadly .
Anyway ur story was inspiring, i hope 1 day to do the same, only with a backpack on my back, walking for days, then arriving at the catedral, where there is a mark in the stone, made by all the pilgrims that put their hand there.
2 questions, where did you slept and how much money you spent?
I did this when I arrived at the cathederal early in the morning.
I stayed mainly in the refugios that are present in most of the towns/villages along the way. These are free, beds/showers etc. You can just leave a small donation in the morning when you leave. Sometimes I camped out.2 questions, where did you slept and how much money you spent?
I was away for about a month and only spent about £300. (this was 1995, still peseta's in Spain) That included the bus from London to Bayonne in France and then from Santiago back to London.
I will make El camino de Santiago! i don´t know when, but i will do it someday!
I´m spanish and like spanish i am, i feel the duty to do it! Santiago is our protector jeje!
PD:Very nice photos and very nice experience yours, i hope you felt very good here!
Greets!
