Sengoku Jidai RTS

I'm looking for some RTS in this period, like Takeda or STW. Do you know a good one ?
Except Takeda & STW of course.

depends on what kind, there are actually quite a few in existence if you know where to look. The main ones (besides the aforementioned and this one) would be Nobunaga's ambition, Kessen 1 and 3, and the Battles of Asia mod for Rome Total War

Samurai Warriors 2 Empires (for the PS2, and for those who know also for the PC

)is also a kind of Strategy game.

Although it is more Rome Total War Like, + the battles fought are in 3rd person view with you commanding a Japanese General or Character that command an army of Officers who in turn command troops.
And there is a campaign map, which lets you play the Battle of Kawanakajima(did I write it right?) and there are some mini-campaigns like the Unification of Kyushu etc.

This campaign is kind of like RTW only less micromanagement and more conquering of provinces, the goal in the Campaign map is too acquire and spend your gold on troops,fortifications, plots to destroy the enemy, upgrading your troops, and the list goes on.
Most of the Generals feature(Shingen Takeda, Nobunaga Oda,Masamune Date, Kenshin Uesugi etc.) but they are not really historically represented.
What I mean by that is that they have a flair of fantasy in their character models. When you see screens of the game you'll know what I mean

Still in my opinion the game is awesome, since you get to unlock alot of cool things during your road of Conquering Japan

My first impression : no offense but BoA's work kinda sucks.

As Wundai said, Samurai Warriors is too much fantasy, not my taste.

I'm kind of dissapointed, i think i'm too much of a TW's fan

No other way but wait for RNJ then

What I meant is the last part of the sentence
"a realistically crafted Fantasy"
The words Realistic and Fantasy are total opposites in this sentence, and I thought it was funny to mention

But a joke looses its taste if you explain it

Not entirely true Kamos, there were examples of female samurai and lords. Tachibana Ginchiyo was head of the clan for five years as the only daughter of the Tachibana family. Besides, maybe it literally means to live as a Japanese female during the sengoku era XP

Well yes, I've been playing that expansion alot lately actually, even if it only has 3 Asian Factions including Japan.
It does play in the time Ieyasu Tokugawa came to power, good suggestion actually, just don't expect it to be 'that' big

Sigh... I wish they made mods for it

I played that expansion too. But it's not a RTS with a strategy campaign map. It's quite fun, good graphic but still not really my taste.

Btw, this is one i would like the development team to have a look at - in terms of strategic gameplay and history accuracy.
