    Sorry but now you need to go more central. There is still quite a lot of the castle walls left (judging by google earth).

    as i have no reference books on Irish castles, it'll take ages to guess that one.

    central -

    get map, - map taken
    get pin, - pin taken
    stick pin in map, - you do not have the stick
    put pin in map, - you cannot put the pin in the map
    examine map, - it is a map of Ireland
    examine pin, - it is a pin from a hand grenade

    Ballymote castle sounds similar if the description on page 66 of
    The archaeology of medieval Ireland

    By Terence B. Barry
    is anything to go by.

    Roscommon - built by Sir Robbert d'Ufford - then captured by O'Connor and then taken back in 1280.

    You may have along wait here. Not sure any of them are in. I think I had Porchester in one version but took it out. Beaumaris gives a problem that Gwynedd is playing as a faction with its castles in place.

    @Keyser Soze - Thanks, we've done most of those castles (at least the ones we were using) but looks a nice site.

    We're still fiddling around with castles in the back ground. Just reverting a little bit to see what we can do in the battle's now rather than just the strat map ones. This is an area we're quite interested in though it likely we are talking only a few differences between battle castle types due to the work involved (and a lot of unknowns still).

    @crusader knight - thanks for the offer but at this time I'm not looking to expand as it involves too much time from myside until I get a bit more organised.

    Were you going to create a Tower of London even through that would be a citadel? Anyway I hope you are able to work these into the battle maps.

    Sorry but no I don't expect to do a separate tower of London. Problem is relative positions. London is classified under the non castle settlements due to the population size (but we change the models for them anyway).

    For battlemaps we have no problems changing the terrain area at the moment its simply a question of how many variations to do and the size they take. Whether we can really change the actual settlement layout itself remains to be seen.

    No we will add some more castles but not every one of them and the one thing I've consistently said is that at the moment changing the shape isn't something we can really do. On the other hand if a castle is suppose to be on a high ridge with a cliff on one side etc that can be done as that's terrain.

    Also Harlech isn't in the game.
