Hot Seat for Westros?

Is there a way to play a hotseat campaign for the Westros mod?

This is a great mod and I hope the developers continue their excellent work

Glad to know that hotseat works, but how do you get it to work in this mod?

When you pull up the multiplayer screen, there is no section for Hotseat. My version is MII Gold edition with kingdoms fully updated.

Please let me know how to get it to work. This mod just screams for multiplayer

Put

[hotseat]
turns = 0
scroll = 0
autoresolve_battles = 0
disable_console = 0
disable_papal_elections = 1

into the .preference file...

I found a preference file in

SEGA/medieval II Total War/mods/westeros/
it was a westros.cfg file

the original was:

[features]
mod = mods/Westeros
[ai]
ltgd_logging = true

;level = ai.ltgd trace
level = * trace
[io]

[multiplayer]

[hotseat]

so I changed it to:

Is there a different preference file elsewhere in the program to modify? Or did I miss something in the modification?

I also tried changing under

[multiplayer]
playable = false

to playable = true

and that didn't seem to bring up a hotseat option either

I did a search in the Medieval II file and found several preferences files, so I may be modifying the wrong one.

Both my son and I love the books are itching to play hotseat. Stormbringer, do you need playtesters for the mod? [I'm presuming you are one of the designers]

I also noticed that the Westros beta should be downloaded to a MII Kingdoms patched to 1.5

I have the gold edition of MII Kingdoms. The official MII website has patches for 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and apparently the gold edition is already patched to 1.3.

There are more patches? And would not having them have something to do with the hotseat not working? The single Westros game has worked well without problems.
