    Yes, i use the unit variety sub mod but I cant get rid of it now since I recruited many and my game would crash. Please don't take my favorite sub mod away!...nooooo yarkis HELP!!!!

    In case you're not afraid of editing the files yourself before Yarkis gets around to it...

    To disable a unit in republic:

    in units_to_gov_types_permissions
    Code:
    your_unit_name	gov_absolute_monarchy	13	enabled
    your_unit_name	gov_constitutional_monarchy	13	enabled
    your_unit_name	gov_republic	1000	destroyed
    (I don't know what the numbers stand for, but you can leave them as is)

    To convert a unit to republican line infantry:
    Code:
    your_unit_name	gov_absolute_monarchy	13	enabled
    your_unit_name	gov_constitutional_monarchy	13	enabled
    your_unit_name	gov_republic	103	converted_to
    your_unit_name	gov_republic	1000	destroyed
    The number 103 is important, it is the ID for "rep_line_infantry_france" as defined in units_to_gov_types_conversion_jcts

    Hi, just want to leave a great thanks to the TROM team. I am enjoying the game!!!

    At first actually, I was a bit sceptical, cus in land battles, the AI would not keep order in their formations, but cross all their units... it was a bit weird and therefore it was easy to win against the A.I.

    In the campaign the A.I. improved his tactical skill though.

    At first, the campaign was very calm, but suddenly I would get 5 different war declarences in a very short time, I was dissapointed, also because the nations who declared war never really engaged me, they just sent tiny stacks and raided my small towns...

    I managed to slowly make peace agreements again, and now I'm just at war with two nations, which is relaxing. I just put at least one unit in a fortress or a city, and like magic, the border nations won't go to war with me again for no reasons. (I don't play very difficult A.I though)

    The only thing which fusses me atm is, that although I'm in a rather brute war against russia, they wont send an army to counter my russian campaign, they rather stay in a far city, so that Moscow (!) is completly ungarissoned, despite my army is at their doorsteps.

    Also a question: Why havn't Grenadiers, who are undisputely better trained than the line infantry, the ability to rank fire? Imho, cus of the lack of this devastating ability, the grenadier are somewhat more worthless than line infantry, who rank fires.

    Also the description box don't really tell the truth, which units can be recruited next, when I want to see in advance. It tells me, f.e., I can recruit british line infantry with the next garrison level, in my poland campaign!!!

    Btw: Will TROM include more skins or completly delete their alterations to some units? A minor problem, I know, but I downloaded the poland retexture, and still the line infantry stays red-white, instead of red-blue, while all other units seem to have the right custom textures. And also I am missing Toontotalwar's exellent U.S.A. mod

    Grenadiers have "mass fire" instead of rank fire in order for them to deliver the maximum amount of fire quickly before charging.

    Do you have to research "mass fire"?

    I know, in custom battles they use this ability, in the pol.-li.-campaign however, only the first line of my grenadiers are shooting, and also sporadic, which imho is an indicator for a less professional trained unit...
    And like I said, they reload damn fast, but I don't think they can beat the killratio of the line infantry with rank fire.

    You don't have to research mass fire but there may be a bug. My austrian grenadiers aren't "mass firing" either.

    While at release all units had mass fire, CA removed the ability from all units in one of the patches. I suggest to return to rank fire for all grenadiers.

    Downloaded and installed version 1.52 , game locks up once you hit the next turn button or saving game before going onto turn 2. Do not get any type of errors. Game was running fine on version 1.51.
    Was trying to play Prussia....

    I'm getting the same issue. Playing as Britain, happens regardless of what I do. Is there a link to 1.51?
