Added a plain text, stroked white the outline, reversed the text plus fade effect and finally I
took the liberty to use the whirl & Pitch filter.

P.S. Just noticed, NLegari had the same idea.....

Can you make the reflected lava text a different color? I think it would look cool in a dark red or even a bluish red.

I'm having some lame problems with GIMP .. Sometimes , when i press the Brightness/Contrast tool , GIMP shuts down .. Same with recoloring , and most color scripts

Already reinstalled , didn't help .. Could it be because i have a .dds plugin ?

Oh I have had the problem as well Theoden, usually after I have taken several steps already. I just restart immediately and it works fine. Try using curves though to try and replicate the same effect without the chance of shut down (knock on wood)

Thx PubliusKhannus I once needed to do the last step (=recolouring a shield) to finish my first skin , and it crashed for over 6 times :O

Odd i have never had GIMP crash.. Some of the script-FU's have but never the main program.

As I've said earlier, I was on vacation for one week and couldn't visit the site for more than a few minutes a day.

Anyway, I just got back and will do my best to get lesson 4 finished as soon as possible. It might take a few days but it should be out soon.

Interestingly, I've had the same problem recently. I'll try to figure out the cause for it.
