    You only need o add some bevel.Maybe you skip that step.

    no. i did it exactly how described, two times
    both times it went FUBAR at the bump-mapping

    Did you select the proper layer at the final bump map phase ?

    well, in the pictures the layer tab is cut off, i can't really see what layers you have selected or the order they are arranged in

    Try to adjust the 2nd Bump maps "Waterlevel".

    heres the pic from the OP. Warterlevel is set to "0". Try and raise it.

    nevermind, i got it. i was selecting the layers in the layer tab rather than the drop down menu in the bump-map pop-up

    You just need to go to this site for example: www.dafont.com
    Download the font you want and install it (double clic most of the time).

    That's it. You should be able to use that font directly with Gimp or Photoshop.

    Btw, the font you're looking for is Ringbearer and can be found here
