Is it funny bad or just bad bad? I'll go for the cheese factor and special effects if there is one.

It's outlandishly stupid but goes too far over the top with repeated scenes that are basically the same thing. Like been hit with a hammer. Imagine the remake of War of the Worlds where Tom Cruise is running as everything is blown up behind him- but for ten straight minutes and over several seperate scenes. Then there's the stereotyped ethnic charactors (Russians this time with some Chinese thrown in) and some really truly appalling vomitous scenes that even a first year film student would balk at producing.

The effects are good for CGI I suppose but CGI always looks to me.

I heard 2012 was supposed to be laughable.

Anyway, watched The Outlook, good movie but nothing to special, has an original script though.

Holy crap.................Punisher 2 is the greatest thing ever. It makes every movie made in the 80s look like a shakespear play.

I mean there's a black-Irish-Jamaican that gets blown up by an rpg, need I say more.

Watch it while high and in high definition for awesome results.

I actually really liked Apocalypse Now, the aforementioned increasingly surreal atmosphere is the central theme of the movie and I really enjoyed it. I watched the redux version that supposedly is not as good as the original, it's three and a half hours long and slow paced, I wasn't able to watch it all in one sitting.

Very funny, with a great celebrity cameo, as well as that awesome 'I am Legend' and '28 Days Later' "end of the world" feeling..
I just watched it too, it got my attention and I though it got a really unique treatment, with the rules and story. I recommend it but don't expect it to be as funny as Shawn of the dead.

Do I need to explain how good it is. Let's just say the worlds best mini series and leave it with that.

Flags of Our Fathers and Letters From Iwo Jima.

They were both pretty good, although the scenes of Flags of Our Fathers which are set in America got pretty tedious. I thought Letters From Iwo Jima was the better of the two and was overall a great movie and an interesting concept (Not often we get a movie from the Japanese perspective)

I watched That Hamilton Woman (1941) earlier today. It stars a very young Laurence Olivier as Lord Nelson and Vivian Leigh as Lady Hamilton. Apparently the two married just after they finished filming in a rather speedy 5 weeks. Given that they were quite in love during its making it does lend a more realistic air to the relationship between the historical figures.

I just feel that Shaun of the dead has more jokes. IMO Zombieland is not a laugh out loud kind of movie but still very enjoyable.

I also just saw terminator salvation, I thought it was good even with the plot holes. It was the directors cut which got perhaps the most gratuitous nudity I've ever seen.

Just saw Max Payne. I haven't played it in years but the film was surprisingly good for a video game adaptation.

Just watched Telefon 'starring' Charles Bronson and Donald Pleasance who didn't even appear to make an effort to put on proper Russian accents. Nevertheless, it kept my occupied for a couple of hours.

Inglorious Bastards, not Tarantino's best but it kept me fairly entertained. Though Landa was absolutely top-notch.

Sadly Hollywood will only cast German/Austrian guys as nazi's or anything of that ilk.
