Thread: Smurf Soldiers

    Default Smurf Soldiers

    Hi my GC is Netherlands and in the middle of battle all the soldier become blue like the screenshot.
    They were all fine when the battle start...

    What happened?
    Or was it just a paintball game with muskets?

    I am using 1.12 of TROM with BSM 3.1.



    BTW if I run BSM 3.1 after TROM core and media would I be experiencing the effect from BSM or TROM?
    Should I keep this mod setup or should I leave BSM?


    edit - Somehow several units are not like that. Its just the Dutch Reg. of Foot are becoming Smurfs. The commanders and flag holders are alright. So are the normal Reg of Foot.

    there is a known bug with Dutch infantry being blue. Sage is aware of it and working to correct it.

    Or if you can't wait that long and know how to work with PackFileManager:

    Yes, if you use PackFileManager.

    - Open trom_core.pack with PackFileManager
    - Go to db\warscape animated tables\aor_warscape_animated
    - Look for the line
    holland_euroline UnitModels/Textures/euro_line_infantry_netherlands animation
    - change it to
    holland_euroline UnitModels/Textures/euro_line_infantry_aor3 animation
    - Save

    fixed....only problem is that the included 7 years war mod doesn't touch the Dutch and their technicolor dreamcoats. Have to use a texture mod for them which cancels out the changes by Sage. Oh well, only impacts the Dutch so i guess I'll have to conquor Britain to try out some Irish and Scotish regiments.

    We'll probably be adding new skins at a later point (first I want to get the new AOR units in place). Currently, you should be able to use most 3rd party texture mods with TROM. They will work fine as long as they alter just the textures and nothing in the db files. The AOR units (i.e. the "named" regiments of foot) will be unaffected by this.
