Post any Bugs & Issues found in Diadochi - TW v1.0 repacked, here.
- Sarissophoroi for Thrace lacks unitcards
- Thrace roster has 2 pantadopaiclones.
- In military barracks there are sometimes two entries for the same units in buildingpic.
- Roman northern army has polybian velites in its stack
- Thrace shouldn't have Sarissophoroi.. :?
- Last two: Might be because of colony recruitment system imperfections.
As Rome I recently liberated tiny Aleria from the jaws of the evil carthies. Now they dont seem to appreciate my effort and doesnt provide fodder for my armies. In fact the only troops I seem able to recruit are leves and barbarian cavalry(only in second tier auxiliary barracks though).
I havent checked in EDB if this changes with polybian reforms though.
You can't recruit many troops outside of Italy and the system is imperfect/unfinished. Only Greeks have proper Colony recruitment.
Getting a CTD whenever a battle is finished outside Beneventum. Me sallying against two armies of Carthies, along with a supporting army of my own. No matter how the battle plays out, there is an automatic CTD (playing it out on the field, auto-resolving, or withdrawing). More details will follow...
Yeah..no way around it. No error message with "-show_err" either. It's times like these I feel like kicking myself for only playing with one save for each campaign .
Here's save, if it will help:
Smells like a trait CTD.
Can you make a backup of DTW\data\export_descr_character_traits.txt, then edit the original export_descr_character_traits.txt and remove all triggers. You can do that by searching for "TRIGGER DATA STARTS HERE" and deleting everything that comes after it.
If it crashes even after that little change, I've got no idea. If it doesn't crash, we can track down the bug.
Hello RedFox, just install your excellent mod and played some custom buttles - the units are thery beuty. I think that greek phalangites and cavalry (and romas) are the most correct in Diadochi (in roster of RTW mods).
Just question - whood you change this ugly wanilla catafracts of seleucids and parphyans - they are terrible and scarcely related to late roman catafracts, so totally rong.
Then I have no idea what could be causing the bug. It might be a vanilla RTW bug that can't be fixed.
when ever i try to start custom battles is crashes and says data/textures/#fire.tga. i looked into the original rome folders for the "#fire" but havent been able to find anything. help?
Dont take life too seriously. No one gets out alive anyway
I have it in my folder and it doesn't crash when I play. Here it is, if you don't have any extra's lying around on your computer.
On another note, I found that Catapults don't fire flaming ammunition even though they have the "Flaming Missiles" ability.
I first played this mod today, when I realized it includes the Achaean League and rushed to download it. I played until 272BC, making 3 saves along the way, one in 277BC, one in 273BC and the last in 272, and now when I try to load any of the two more recent saves I get a CTD just as it finishes loading and I start to hear the campaign map music. Unfortunately, since I can't load those saves I can't tell what may be causing the CTD, but I recall that the last one was made with two of my cities under siege by Macedon, while in the previous one the war with Macedon may not have started yet. I was in a war against Epirus when Macedon invaded. A Macedonian diplomat asked me to become a protectorate and I agreed, which meant that there was an automatic ceasefire with Macedon's ally, Epirus. But then, on the very same diplomatic page, I offered an exchange of map information, and the Macedonian diplomat not only refused, but canceled our protectorate treaty, and war resumed. That didn't bother me so much, since it gave me a much needed peace with Epirus, but I have a feeling it was not diplomacy as intended.
I'm running Diadochi through BI, by the way.
Yeah...I'm afraid I've been getting quite a lot of CTD's as well; too many, perhaps. I've had to restart 4 campaigns because of CTD's that had no way around them thus far (2 Achean, 1 Epirus, and 1 Bactrian). It seems I have run into the same CTD that killed my Epirus campaign in a second Bactrian campaign, but I have yet to test the cause of THAT crash.
Don't get me wrong when I say this, as I love what's been done with everything in the mod (why else would I keep playing it?), but there are far too many unresolved bugs...
This must all be related to traits. In test runs with trait triggers disabled, there were no issues. I guess it's time to re-work all traits again.
