Reworked Campaign Elven Captains

Well, I didnt really like how in the campaign the silvan captains had black hair, so i decided to change that so now they have blond hair, like legolas

But Silvan elves aren't Vanyar, I'm affraid.

The pure Vanyar were in Valinor, and there were very few elves with Vanyar blood in Middle-earth.

But celeborn, haldir, legolas, galadriel? Arnt they blonde? And in the movies pretty much all silvan elves are blonde.

Celeborn had black hair, the hair of Haldir was never mentioned, Legolas I actually do not remember and Galadriel had silver-blond hair, a perfect blend like one would blend the beams of Laurelin and Telperion in the twilight-hour -which inspired Feanor in creating the simlmarills-, because her mother was of royal Vanyar blood.

Oh please, this was only because i think they look better with blond hair, if black hair wouldve looked better maybe they would have used that in the movies. Plus this mod is not only based on the books, the movies aswell. They have blond hair in the movies so i made the hair blond, stop complaining.

I downloaded because I realized he's right, we're going by movies for visuals. And in any case, a lot of the portraits have blond hair.

I think that only half-elven has dark hair. Galadriel, Glorfindel, etc, are Noldor, Thranduil and Legolas are Sindar, that´s why they are blondies.

No, Noldor have black hair generally, Galadriel is blonde because she's part Vanyar.

im downloading since i think the OP was right... this mod is based visually on the movies not the books (or the gondorians wouldnt have so darned much plate) and the portraits have the elves with blond hair, whilst they have black hair on the battlefield... choose one or the other (and since i dont see a mod with a dark haired legolas portrait, im gonna use this one)

tbh, one of the things that bothered me about the movies was the way elves were portrayed. not their hair mind you, but noses. You always view elves to be extremely light featured. They did well with Liv Tyler and the guy that played Elrond and Legolas, but Galadriel and the guy in the sig up above both had way too large of noses. In fact I often thought that if they had replaced Gladriel with the chick that played Eowyn it probably would have looked better.
