Thank u Applelover, u resolved my doubts... everything is perfectly clear now. Btw this mod is awesome, couse at last i have various and "real" units. What's more first time in my long TW career computer really kicked my ass ;p. ( So big thx for all mod creators with Applelover in the vanguard, who stuck it all together ;p)

TROM just got a minor version update to 1.53 from 1.52 - probably no change in the .loc but how can we easily check?

    Applelover:
I cannot seem to get Hornblower mod working with 2.4.

So how do you merge the entries from, say, the loc file of Hornblower_DrumregimentlocV1.6.pack into your 2.4? I have tried using excel but to no avail as there are necessary duplicates which I don't want to delete. Any help and advice would be great.

If I could do this, I would hopefully be able to crack on with my campaign.

Probably you could try to give the rep to another post that applelover has made? It's only possible to give one rep to each post.

sorry mate I forgot about that. I'll add it tomorrow. Here is how I add lines:

    1. Open the loc with pack manager and click text then localisation so all the lines appear.
    2. At the top in an export option. Export both the UCP and new mod loc into a folder calling them loc snd loc1.
    3. Open both with notepad add copy all the added lines in the new mod notepad file to the UCP noepad file and then save it.
    4. Open the ucp loc with pack manager, click text/localisation and then click import. Select the ucp notepad file click open and this will replace all the lines in the loc file adding the extra lines. Now save the loc giving it a new name as errors can occur leaving you with a non functioning loc

One problem is when locs are saved in alphabetical order. This makes it incredibly hard to find all the lines which have been added. If I was any good with excel I reckon I could export and open with excel rather than notepad and consolidate the two files so that any double entires would be ignored. Unfortunately i'm rubbish with excel so if anyone out there knows how to do this then please let me know.

Hope this is of some help JFC

ps Jean Francois Christophe just equalised v wycombe for my beloved southend united so I reckon writing this post had something to do with it

So what you are saying is that there are NOT meant to be any duplications?

    Good lord....

This is easy then on excel!

Just copy from the wordpad and select a cell on the sheet. right click and 'paste special' as unicode text.

There is a data tool where you can remove duplicate entries.

Duplicate entries aren't a problem to functionality but they just make the loc untidy and cumbersome when you are searching through it.

Thanks for the info on excel i'll give it a go.

Probaly 99% of all the unit names in the mods on my title page will appear, together with descriptions where the modder has included them. If you see any missing names be sure to let me know.

I wasn't aware that darthmod adds any text lines so it is 100% compatible, although some of the modsthat the UCP supports will not be eg IS, Trom etc. I myself use darth mod and no problems at all

Hello Sir. Could you add this to your list? Mainly the American Civil War portion. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=288139. I am having trouble with the Additional Unit Mod found here http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=250655. The two do not seem to be playing nice, lock-ups and CTD.

    Thanks!

"American Civil War" and "AUM" aren't fully compatible yet.

I can confirm that Darthmod doesn't add a localization and I didn't have any problems with the UPC + Darthmod so far.
