What do the Space Marines do with the drop pods when the battle's done? How do they pack them up and put them back on the ship?
Do they even bother to pick 'em up?

Not sure,perhaps a drop ship of some sort comes down and picks them up once the battle is done.

Then what do they do if they run out?
I would think they would pick them back up,its to much of a waste unless they have a whole mess load of them on board.

Hell, of course they would get new supply!!
Even Marine coffins are supplying by Imperium!!
Edit: By the way, Drop Pods is not necessary equipment; troops transport can be done by Thunderhawks.

Ok, that answered my question. Apparently, techpriests recover them and then they are re-used.

They will recycle all the dead Space Marines and such as well, they need to extract their gene seed for future use. They may reduce a place to blackened rubble but they won't leave any rubbish behind don't worry about that.

Oh, thank the Emperor. I don't care about the genocide of races across an entire galaxy, as long as we do it while we recycle our old drop pods!
