This is an interesting proposal being debated at the moment. Seems kind of unnecesarry however. The Admins roam the Q&S occasionally so any proposals will be be spotted quickly if there are any (There are no proposals there now, nor have I ever seen one in there). If this passed I doubt there would be much interest as the regular member probably doesn't have a good grasp of the constitution or how they might want to change the site. Plus the people that give good proposals and debate in their threads will probably get offered patronisation, taking them out of the Q&S.. so I guess this idea might be a good way to 'test' potential citizens or lure them out..
Eh, I don't find it too bad. It doesn't look like it will actually let any non citizens in. It keeps them in the Q&S section but allows their ideas the chance to be seen before the Curia if it is wholly popular.
This is great, because it keeps the "Open Letters" from being only in the ETW area! Now we can all enjoy their wonderful goodness.

I agree that is what the bill would do but do not the popular ideas already have a way into the Curia? Any proposer can ask a citizen or even a citizen friend to propose their draft in the Curia, as long as the citizen notes that they are proposing the bill on behalf of a non-citizen. So in essence, the proposing citizen would have to support the bill first off and then present it to the Curia.
Oh absolutely. I think the bill is ultimately pointless, but also ultimately harmless. If anything it just makes it a bit more official.
Now I also must state I have only looked that that particular bill (the one from Rome that you posted, there has been much talk about different levels of "opening the curia" as of late) for a short while so I can't really say if I fully support it or not. As of now though, it looks like it wouldn't amount to much of a change anyway so I frankly don't care.

Yes I fear this bill will join its friends in the failed votes section pertaining to opening the Curia and other bills along those lines.
I like this idea because VV would be more organized this way, and people like me that like certain periods of history(eras...whatever) would be more happy with that decision implemented.
In the meantime: What if VV then becomes unpopulated? I mean there aren't so many new threads there.
Regarding the plebs bill: The bill is senseless because everyone can throw ideas here in the Q&S and if It gathers that kind of support It surely will be sent before the CURIA. There are other better ways for the non-citizens to participate in the government of this site.

I'm disappointed that I haven't won the hearts of the plebs with my attempt to reduce penalties for prospective candidates with warn levels. :.(
That's what I think too.
A forum would still have the same audience, maybe even more people would find the subforum structure appaealing. If it leads to less spam, I'm happy for it. In the meantime, there are a lot of generic, not era-related threads like "Who was the best general ever" that will be placed in the main forum.

Maaybe I was not clear but the point was:Yes but when you see a subforum inactive for some time would you start a new thread? Probably yes but in the meantime less people will visit it because they like another period of time. You make your suggestion in the Q/S, and if it's good enough and has enough support it will make its way to the Curia. It's been done before.
yay 100 posts!![]()

Re the plebs bill. I originally was against the idea but now it seems to have some merit in it. I've been reading the concerns of citizens and moderators over alt accounts to skew the voting. Well instead of only requiring 50+ posts, why not change it to something a bit more dramatic? Say 100 or 250? The reasoning is that it is highly unlikely that someone with less than 50 posts would understand how TWC works. The Curia, The Constitution, The Tribunal. If you set the bar higher, I believe you would eliminate a lot of alt accounts being created solely for the purpose of supporting their mains proposal, because one would have to be pretty desperate to get 100+ posts in a day or two simply to vote on a poll...
THe added benefit of raising the minimum posts is that new members, even alts created would have a lot more time to study the ToS, the Curia, The Constitution so that when they are eligible they could make an informed proposal or support / oppose a proposal from an informed standpoint.
The number of posts you make has little bearning on how much you understand the workings of TWC.

Re: The New Medal Set....
Honorable Gentlemen & Ladies.....
Would the framework{the new set} be optional???? here's why...
As it affects me...
New set....
Old set......
My solitary medal blends very nicely with the crowns the way it is. On the other hand the new framework and structure is nice for one who is burdened by the IMMENSE weight and number of their awards...
If it's optional SUPER. If not I'm fine the way I am thanks...

Options are good. I think the same principle should apply to the new badges being voted on. Make it an option for users to use the old or new style. If possible.![]()
