Refusing the Line?

I haven't found this option in the game. Is it there? And if not, would this be modable?

what does refusing the line mean? do you mean having infantry as a mob rather than in ranks?

Refusing the line is where an infantry unit withdraws either to redeploy or surrender their position to another reserve unit. Kinda like fire and withdraw. This would be done in an orderly manner too ofcourse (without refacing or losing formation). I'm just wanting to save myself some hurried mouse dragging and clicking.

Or can this kind of redeployment be done with existing keyboard shortcuts?
