Need links to patches, instructions please

At the risk of seeming a little thick, I have looked and looked for the necessary patches and a set of instructions for unistallation of my present RTR Gold 6.0 and reinstallation and patching of RTW 1.2 and BI followed by RTRPE and whatever else is necessary for Imperator II. I've already asked if it's possible and been told that it was, but now I'm a little overwhelmed and a lot lost in trying to find the appropriate patches. I've played RTR for a long time and would really like to take the next step forward. Please. Help.
