Default All Under Heaven Research Request.

Hello Fans, our own Researchers from the team and researchers from the outside,

I have a request from the buildings department of the All Under Heaven mod.

What we essentially need is Pictures or Drawings from Buildings in the Area of Southern China...
    Don't stop reading here please

We need these to create Wonders for the Campaign Map of the Mod, you know those little buildings you see on the strat map and say 'whooo' everytime you find one while flying over it with your mouse?
    Yes those

Now its not that easy so please bear with me, there are some specifications they need to have, listed below:

1.Buildings from the Southern Song Dynasty.
Since the Song is the faction on which we are focusing right now.

2.Therefore they need to be buildings from Southern China
To make it a bit easier here are the provinces listed were the wonders should originate from:
Fujian, Gunagdong, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guizhou and Sichuan.
What? Don't know where these provinces lie, fine here's a map showing you their locations:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

3.Build in the period starting from the year 1171 A.D. or around this date, naturally because around this date our mod starts to evolve.

4.The buildings should be Eye-Catchers what I mean is buildings that really differentiate themselves from the average Asian temple,Teahouse,Bridge or Trade Street you come across, they're not called Wonders without a reason

    5. Picture specifications:
Its never a bad thing to post multiple images of a building, preferably also from multiple sides so we can get the clear view of it
On the other side too many images is also not a very good thing, so lets say between 2 and 4 pictures of a building. If you're not the img/spoiler tags person you can also use links to sites with pictures so no worries there
And ofcourse the bigger the picture, the easier it is to use as research material.

If Yelü or Augustus have anything to add to this please change the list by all means

Now from the Pictures/Drawings/Sketches submitted we'll make a nice list on the developers forum from which we choose the number of Campaign Map Wonders for the mod.

I would also like to urge everyone to please use Spoiler Tags around your pictures it makes the thread itself all the much clearer.

Nope no money to be made, no contest with prizes sorry
You're just helping out our nice little mod on its path to glory

Finally I would like to extend a 'Thank You' in advance to all those who want and can help out, both inside and outside of the team

My ResearchJian Shan Temple (金山寺)at Fujian Province

    Discription:

The Jinshan Temple locates on rock in the Wulong River of Hong Pond in the west suburb of Fuzhou. The temple is limited by the geography. Although there are not great palaces or huge statues of Buddhas, they seem to be lovely.

The Jinshan Temple was set up in Song Dynasty firstly, later was ruined by the flood, the existing temple and buildings were rebuilt up in the period of Republic. The left room is called Qiaqiazhai, is the place where Zheng Jingshu who was the anti- Japanese invaders famous general in Ming Dynasty once studied. The right room is called Jiejieshi, it is rumored that Lin Longjiang who was a scholar in Ming Dynasty once borrowed to reside the right books to sign to say. The Jinshan Temple faces the water on all sides, the environment is nice and secluded, entirely different world. Lean on balcony and looking at the distance, the on all sides and bluish green wave is boundless, the sail of boat orders the point, exhausted place in sand bank, the small villages reflects in the forest leaf, dignified a western water color painting.

When I can I'll have a discussion with Yelü about the finds of all of you

Please don't let yourself be stopped if there's something that is not yet seen in this thread and it fits the requirements

Indeed, some of those are really interesting. The rock carvings one would be particularly curious to make work, would have to model it into a hill probably.

Ok we have our list to include for the Southern Song Territories

    Buildings Chosen:

    -Le Shan Giant Buddha
    -Dazu Rock Carvings
-Jian Shan Temple (金山寺)at Fujian Province
    -Pavilion of Prince Teng
    -Yellow Crane Tower
    -Yuelu Academy

Mostly because these fit the description the best and because they really stick out from the lists we've received, in other words, make a difference
What also plays a role ofcourse, is if we can model/texture the ones chosen.
    Thanks to all who participated!
