The French invade Maine and are met with harsh resistance lead by General Henri de Massue.
British Colonial Line Infantry form up whilst under minimal artillery fire.
The 16th Regiment Hessian Line Infantry moves into position on the right flank and opens fire on the French lines.
To the left of the field, General de Massue run down the native bowmen employed by the French as a Regiment of Pike flushes them out of cover. They are easily broken by the General's Bodyguard and flee the field in a panic.
British fixed artillery watch over the raging battle atop a hill on the British left flank in relative comfort.
The battle rages as the 16th Regiment Hessian Line Infantry holds the right flank.
The British line is rushed by a French auxiliary regiment of native warriors.
The 16th Regiment Hessian Line Infantry move to support and hold the line.
The French lines break and flee the field.
The left flank battle was reminiscent of old with the Regiment of Pike facing the native auxiliary warriors employed by the French.
Eager to satiate the thirst of his sabre, General Henri de Massue needlessly commits himself to combat.
Having lost the battle, the French General flees the field of combat.
