    I also use a disc install and I have no trouble installing this mod.

    concerning your problem, if you are able to run WTW .53 (you know menu screen and etc) then you have installed it correctly but if you are crashing when you start the campaign then this is either an update problem or faulty install (perhaps you deleted or replaced some folders).

    I suggest you try to use one of the stand-alone (meaning it does not need base files) submods around here, I am sure there is at least one or two and see if the problem persists.
    the base WTW .53 is pretty old/crappy anyway so you are not losing much.

    Icon9 Can't locate file

    So I downloaded Westeros and extracted it into the mod file of M2TW like the instructions said. It then says to install via the batch file in there. But I can't see any file that would be likely to install from. Has my download gone wrong, or have I just missed something? :/

    You don't need to install a mod per se. Just place the Westeros folder in the /mods folder and then double click the Westeros.bat file and it'll run.

    Ah, yes. I deleted and tried again, and this time it appeared. The file I needed just wasn't there last time.
    So I take it local hotseat is not yet available?

    The Enhanced has a lot more features and is just generally a more 'complete' game compared to this Alpha release.

    So, they're alternatives, right? for the Enhanced you don't need the alpha no?

    Don't take my word for it, but yeah I think you can play Enhanced without this downloaded/installed.

    All the the Westeros submods like Enhanced are standalone and don't need v0.53. Shank is correct.
    There is basically no reason to play v0.53 when all the submods available are superior in pretty much every way.

    I hope one day this team will help TGC in case of need!
    TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
    Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

    IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
    Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

    someone please help me. I really want to play this mod i am a steam user with the medieval 2 gold version. it is fully updated. i downloaded this version and am pretty sure i placed it correctly OS(C)/programfiles(86)/steam/steam apps/common/medieval II total war/mods when i try to run the bat file a black screen briefly flashes and the game does not run. Ive tried renaming it as americas as well as using a shortcut and it did not work. on some of the threads ive read it needs to be converted to a exe file, i dont know how to do this, o\i tried to run a automatic converter i found on this site and it said that it could not locate kingdoms.exe. I desperately want to play this mod or any of the submods (i read they can stand alone) if anyone can give me a way to do this i will be eternally grateful
