    UNIT LIMIT IN THE UI RECRUITMENT QUEUE

    As you probably know I'm the creator of the "ADDITIONAL UNITS MOD" for Empire, Napoleon and Shogun 2.

    Unfortunately I've discovered that the "city recruitment queue" has a limit. Some units aren't visible anymore in certain circumstances and therefore not recruitable. There isn't any scroll button like in Rome or MTW2.

    The limit has been quite reached if you install any large "Unit Pack Mod".

    Here are some screenshots of my late Great Britain campaign with AUM-ETW:

    London recruitment queue

    50
    units = maximum in a city is quite reached
    The 50th unit is only reachable if you try to move slowly from left to right across the unit icons.

    I made again a post in the "TWC official bug thread" and linked it to this thread for further discussions.

    Unfortunately there is no official comment from CA on all Empire websites and forums about this issue.

    NAPOLEON:TW
    doesn't have a scroll bar in the recruitment queue.


    SHOGUN 2:TW
    has a scroll bar in the recruitment queue. But there is no scroll bar in the custom battle and Avatar screen.

    I unlocked several vanilla units and then I saw that the additional unlocked vanilla or custom units are hidden and not accessible if there are too many units.

    Good that CA included a scroll bar in the recruitment queue of the campaign because it was highly missed in ETW/NTW.



    But they didn't include a scroll bar in the custom battle or Avatar screen.



    The unlocked Samurai Retainers are hidden on the right side of the Onna Bushi unit. It's possible to click on it. But if another unlocked or custom unit is added to the same row, then it can't be clicked anymore.

    I think we have to inform CA about this that they add a scroll button.

    I really hope they do fix it. You're units really are addicting and I wouldn't want to miss more of them due to the inability to integrate the scrolling technique.

    Hello SCGavin, I really hope that they fix it with a scrolling technique too. I've sent two messages to "Thamis" and "Lusted".
    Now we can just wait.

    Ok guys, i try to input some further mods tonight into my Continental Army!!! Guess what????
    Reached unit limit now!! i see 25 icons for infantry and i was trying to input a further 3 French units to play them alongside the continentals!! no go!! will now need to delete some units to allow play with new french units??
    It had to happen sometime!!
    25 - is maximum for line infantry!! this is really going to have an impact now to grow our armies!!!!!

    The new patch 1.3 has been released but it doesn't seem that CA fixed the "Unit Limit UI" problem.

    No "scoll buttons" have been included.

    I didn't receive any statement of the CA members that I've contacted until now.

    I have to test it further and update my screenshots in the first post.

    some1 needs to tell CA to add a scroll button because then there is no limit to the number of DLC units they can flog to us,

    that might work.

    Why are you complaining about the game's UI? I can't even use the buttons on Empire Total War's website!!!! They don't work! So much for contacting CA!

    Hahaha... you're right Dogmeat!

    I didn't receive any answer or comment on this issue from the CA members until now.

    There is absolutely no comment on all Empire websites and forums too.

    I try to inform a CA member again on this issue. I will post a new "bug-post" in the "Official Bug Forum" again too.

    I just posted a research thread in the tools & tutorials section about UI editing. I think we should be able to fix this once we understood how the UI files work and the decompiler is finished.
