    Default Faster realistic battles

    hey everyone this is just a 30 minute stat edit which simply just ups the attack stat by 20 e.g instead of an attack of 12 it is now 32 therefore making battles faster instead of boring slow battle like watching 2 people fighting like heroes fighing for ages. ive only edited the attack and nothing else. make sure you have a back up aswell. ill do a stat increase of 10 if the battles are too fast for you. any questions glad to awnser

    Let's be honest, it's bad idea. You end up having militia unit having 24 attack and elite unit having let's say 28 attack. So militia unit has only 16% less attack, while in reality it would have 50% less attack. If you want to speed up battles without unbalancing the whole game, frankly, you should INSTEAD change

    this

    <melee-hit-rate>1.0</melee-hit-rate>

    to something like this

    <melee-hit-rate>3.0</melee-hit-rate> (they kill 3x faster in melee now)

    in battle_config

    --------

    and if for some reason it doesn't work, do the same with

    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    <skirmish-infantry>1.0</skirmish-infantry>
    <crossbow-infantry>1.0</crossbow-infantry>
    <gunmen-infantry>1.0</gunmen-infantry>
    <!--Normal types missile units -->
    <missile-infantry>1.0</missile-infantry>
    <!--Normal types infantry units -->
    <light-infantry>1.0</light-infantry>
    <heavy-infantry>1.0</heavy-infantry>
    <spearmen>1.0</spearmen>
    <pike>1.0</pike>
    <!--CAVALRY -->
    <!--MOD specific types missile units Must match EDU-->
    <skirmish-cavalry>1.0</skirmish-cavalry>
    <crossbow-cavalry>1.0</crossbow-cavalry>
    <guncavalry>1.0</guncavalry>
    <!--Normal types mounted missile units -->
    <missile-cavalry>1.0</missile-cavalry>
    <light-cavalry>1.0</light-cavalry>
    <heavy-cavalry>1.0</heavy-cavalry>

    Plus, I disagree with the idea of your mod simply because REAL fights took long, although I have an impression you have just watched too much gang-bang movies and came up with a conclusion that two sword swings can kill a soldier in plate armour. Frankly, NOT.

    Nice idea. I kind of like the length of battles though, not too long, not too short. Especially when you are elves and pepper the enemy before they even reach you.

    Read my post again, it's in bold font.

    i went into the battle config do you mean change all the 1.0 thingys or just the melee hit rate cos i found it but its not like what you put <melee-hit-rate>1.0</melee-hit-rate> it was more like this <melee-hit-rate>. so do i add the 1.0 into with <melee-hit-rate> on the other side??

    I was just thinking how badly I wanted something like this. Although I think Achilla's suggestion would work best.

    True, but it didn't take this long. These units move like molasses in melee combat.
