I got banned from the .com forums for posting a link to this picture, with no comment (let alone offensive comment), in "rants and raves" (so it wasn't even off topic). The picture is "Liberty Leading the People".
..Well, here is the thing: It is not really related to RTW or anything whatsoever, neither related to your title " everything you need to know about CA" it's rather misinformative. I am questioning this thread to be locked. I am sorry DimeBagho, but it might signifies a great event in french history and also have some very deep artistic meaning, but i really see no point of posting it on Rome total war forums, and actually no comment. It is rather a spam. Well, banning you was rather harsh thing to do, maybe just a warning would do ok.
I went and looked in the official forums for it. Could not find it. Sorry to hear about your banning. Welcome back to TWC!
Do you get HorseArcher's point though? Give us some context if you have the time, otherwise this is a thread without a topic, or in need of definition.
I still can't find it. Do you remember what the thread was called?
That could be an explanation too. it's "rants and raves" about Rome total war or any total war game, and a topless women thread would be surely be moved here too, for the non-rtw related sections and probably closely watched or might be locked too. they probably deleted the whole thread, since a lot of kids visit the .com forum and they don't want kids jumping to the thread, since the .com forum is strictly about the total war games, not other non-related material.Originally posted by DimeBagHo@May 16 2005, 06:52 PM
As I said - the thread is in "rants and raves".
here is why:Originally posted by DimeBagHo@May 16 2005, 07:01 PM
horsearcher - Like I said the post was in thread that was *already* in an off topic form (in other words the posts don't have to be about RTW). In fact the subheading for the forum is "want to get something off your chest?" :grin
TOTAL WAR FORUM: TERMS AND CONDITIONS11. Rants and Raves
If you've got a complaint or want to shout about how good TW games are then post it here (other general forum rules apply, of course).
12. Off Topic (Non Total War Discussions)
In this forum content not related to Total War products (but limited by the rules above) is allowed. All content is subject to moderator actions if deemed unsuitable. Material deemed unsuitable for this forum includes material which involves politics, religion and sex. This forum is meant to be a light hearted discussion area so please treat it as such.
If they have this rule, then, they have it, you can't argue about it.
Just out of curiosity - DimeBagHo you say there where other pictures of topless women, does this mean that all the posters got banned? You were breaking the rules but banning without warning... just seems harsh...
Under Patronage of Necrobrit
Man that is harsh. It's like contempt of court, only in a forum. EXCEPT, in my country, it's advised that the accused is warned before he is subject to contempt of court. My point being, the law in my country doesnt even behave to that extent. I can see why your thread was closed but a banning without warning is just, well, not cool :cool
Extremely grateful and indebted to my friend and patron: Spartan

or maybe it's because her boobs are hanging out, and the game is rated T?
Getting banned for posting pictures of topless women says nothing about CA forums, except that they will ban people for posting pictures of topless women, as would 99% of public corporate forums on the Internet. Like, duh. Surely the crusade can find better evidence of perceived oppression than this...
Just make some little pastys and try again. haha.
But yes, if you explained your picture, that would of made more sense (..they prob would of still banned you but...ehh)
Under the patronage of the Black Prince
Really. Like which ones? Seriously, you can see images just like that one on court houses, in newspapers, on government buildings, in public art galleries, in museums, on stamps (!. Microsoft has that very picture on one of their sites which is open to the public and commonly used by school children - i.e. MSN Encarta.as would 99% of public corporate forums on the Interne
Sorry guys this is NOT related to RTW - I will move it to "Off Topic" and suggest that DimeBagHo change the title soon - before someone else does it for him.
