What did I do wrong?

This is my first mod. I did a fresh install, patched to 1.3, then 1.5, downloaded, ran the install, but when I click on the Extended Greek Mod shortcut to load the game, it just takes me to the vanilla RTW game. The game files are all in the folder, so it's probably something I've missed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you right click on the desktop shortcut, selected 'properties', and tell me what the target line is?

That looks fine. When you look in the "C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\" folder is there an "xgm" folder there?

Yes. It has two subfolders, data and preferences.
